The morning of June 30, 2021, came as a shock to everyone as the news flashed on our social media feeds informing about the demise of Mandira Bedi's filmmaker-husband, Raj Kaushal. As per the reports, Raj suffered a heart attack on June 29, and he created a lifetime of void in the life of his wife, Mandira and their two kids, Vir Kaushal and Tara Bedi Kaushal.

Mandira Bedi and Raj Kaushal's friends, Onir, Rohit Bose Roy, Neha Dhupia, Tisca Chopra and others penned their eulogies, expressing the shock on knowing about the filmmaker's demise. Neha posted Raj's last Instagram post, a group picture of the friends in one frame, with the caption, "Raj, we took this picture to create more and more memories… can't believe you are nt with us anymore … Mandira, my strong strong girl, I am at a loss of words. My heart belongs to Vir and Tara … I'm shaken up and in shock and disbelief as I write this, RIP Raj."

As Raj's body was taken for the funeral, Mandira was inconsolable and her friends, Ronit Roy, Ashish Chowdhry, Huma Qureshi, Apurva Agnihotri and others stood by her to give her solace and bid adieu to their friend, Raj. Mandira is performing the last rites of her husband, Raj.
As a eulogy to his friend, Raj Kaushal, Anupam Kher posted a picture of him with Mandira Bedia and wrote, "Deeply saddened & shocked to know about the sudden demise of #RajKaushal! A friend, a film maker & a very positive man. Have some great memories of working with him & spending time with him a few years back. Sorry dearest @mandirabedi & family for your irreparable loss. #OmShanti."

RIP Raj. #RajKaushal." Kriti Kharbanda tweeted, "Deepest condolences to Mandira Ma'am, her children and their family. This is so shocking. Rest in peace #RajKaushal sir."
Confirming the news of Raj Kaushal's demise, director Onir tweeted, "Gone too soon. We lost Filmmaker and Producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very Sad. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul."
Rohit Bose Roy posted a picture on Instagram with Raj Kaushal and captioned it as "One of the nicest guys you could ever have met… and if u were lucky, u could have called him your friend… and just like that, he’s gone, even without saying good bye. too numb with grief and shock to react… This is not fair, just not fair… Raj, my friend, my brother… keep spreading the cheer where ever your next abode is… Knowing your penchant for good homes, I am sure you are looking for a good spot in heaven RIGHT NOW!
