The story of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu revolves around 'Shankara Varaprasad' (played by Chiranjeevi), an NIA officer. While his professional life is sorted, he has a buried pain in his personal life. As an NIA officer, 'Shankara Varaprasad' is in charge of overseeing the security of the Union Home Minister (played by Sharad Saxena).
Coming to his personal life, 'Shankara Varaprasad' has an estranged wife, 'Shashirekha' (played by Nayanthara) and has two children. He will try to win over his children and estranged wife and mend their broken relationship. He gets a second chance when a vengeful ex-cop enters the picture, and 'Shankara Varaprasad' gets the charge to protect his estranged family.
