Soon, after the divorce announcement, multiple netizens suspected that it was only for TRP. Now, Madhuri Jain has revealed whether their divorce is fake.
A while ago, Madhuri Jain, who spent nearly 2 weeks in the Lock Upp 2 house, had a conversation with Free Press Journal, during which she opened up about Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola’s divorce. Talking about if it is fake or genuine, she was quoted as saying:
"Honestly, that’s a personal matter between them. Everyone has a different perspective. Akanksha chose to use it as her secret on the show. Even when her husband (Gaurav) came into the house, his reaction suggested that he had no idea. He said, ‘I didn’t know about this. We were still discussing it.’"
Further, Madhuri Jain also addressed the opinion of netizens and explained that the reason behind the backlash is Gaurav Khanna’s reaction. As per the entrepreneur, Gaurav Khanna’s confused reaction has left fans wondering if their divorce a publicity stunt for the reality show. In her words:
"So, naturally, anyone would be troubled by something like that. That’s why people have mixed opinions. Doubts do arise in people’s minds because this is a private family matter and many feel that such issues should have been sorted out between themselves first."
It is worth mentioning that Akanksha Chamola opened up about her divorce in the first episode of Lock Upp 2, leaving their fans shocked. During the same interview, Madhuri Jain shared that Akanksha Chamola feels right about her divorce as she knows how Gaurav Khanna is like as a husband. Madhuri Dixit explained:
"But Akanksha herself said that she doesn’t know what others think. Whatever her relationship with her husband was, only she knows whether it was healthy or not, and what it was really like. She did what she felt was right for herself. As for people, they will always have opinions - that’s what they do. Their job is to form opinions."
In the past few episodes of Lock Upp 2, Akanksha Chamola has shared a lot of details about her married life and why she wants to part ways with Gaurav Khanna. During the initial episodes, she stated the backlash around her decision to not have kids left a deep impact on her.
Apart from this, she also made shocking revelations about her sexuality, starting by explaining that before falling in love with Gaurav Khanna, she was bisexual. Reportedly, she even had a few relationships with females. In the recent episode, Akanksha had a conversation with Varun Yadav, during which she stated that she feels asexual nowadays.
Her revelations and divorce from Gaurav Khanna has been grabbing intense attention on social media platforms. Fans have been trolling the actress for making up stories around their divorce. One user commented, "Strangest woman I've seen. She herself don't know the reason why she wants divorce." Another user penned, "Ye apne convenience ke hisab se story Bana rhi hai."
