Kapil Sharma is a popular comedian and actor, who is all set for his upcoming film, Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2. But do you know that the comedian has another film lined up for 2026? Well, that's right. His upcoming film is Dadi Ki Shaadi, which is generating a lot of buzz on the internet. Interestingly, the film will bring veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor and comedian, Kapil Sharma for a story about family and love.
While the upcoming film, Dadi Ki Shaadi is already making rounds on the internet for bringing together one of the most celebrated Bollywood actresses, Neetu Kapoor and the most loved comedian, Kapil Sharma. Apart from them, the film will also star debutant, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. For the unversed, Riddhima is the daughter of Neetu Kapoor.
Reportedly, Dadi Ki Shaadi is a warm family film about a grandmother, who finds love again and decides to get married. The story is expected to mix humour, family drama and emotional moments as different generations react and celebrate the wedding. The film is expected to be a feel-good movie for families.
It is worth mentioning that the film, starring Neetu Kapoor, Kapil Sharma and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is majorly shot in Shimla. The hill station’s roads, schools and scenic spots form the movie’s main backdrop. Reportedly, the shoot took place for 40-45 days. And while the main shoot is over, a few patchwork shoots are left and an end-credit song.
It is worth mentioning that the film, Dadi Ki Shaadi was originally about to release in December 2025, but since the director, Ashish R. Mohan couldn't finish shooting the patchwork and end-credit song, the release date had to be pushed. As of now multiple reports suggest that the film will now be released either in April 2026 or on Mother Day 2026. The official release date of the film will be announced on December 20, 2025.
During a recent interview, the director of the film spoke about the end-credit song and shared that it will be a grand affair featuring 700 schoolchildren from various schools around Shimla, alongside the entire cast. He also shared that the reason they couldn't complete the shoot was because of the scare of a war between India and Pakistan. Ashish was quoted as saying:
"I wanted to complete the film after I locked my release date. We had shot a song choreographed by Ganesh [Acharya] master in Shimla earlier this year, but a one-day shoot remained as there was talk of a (conflict between) India and Pakistan (Operation Sindoor was about to happen at that time)."

Currently, he is gearing up for the film, Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2 and talk show, The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4.
