Jenny confessed that throughout her abusive relationship, her mind was “turned completely inside out.” She said that she no longer had her own thoughts. In her words:

Once she understood this and realized that it was her job to love herself rather than him, Jenny quickly left her ex-boyfriend and got out of the “hell” she was living in. She said that she chose to be powerful and not powerless.

After opening up about her abusive relationship, Jenny went on to give a shout-out to her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, whom she called the love of her life. She said, “I love you, baby.” For those unaware, Jenny McCarthy and Wahlberg began dating back in 2013. They tied the knot a year later in August 2014.

While Jenny chose not to reveal the name of the man who was abusive towards her before she married Wahlberg, the actress did date several well-known names. She initially dated her manager, Ray Manzella, for four years in the ‘90s. Jenny then dated and married actor John Mallory Asher. The duo was together for seven years and welcomed a son named Evan during their marriage.

Jenny even dated Jim Carrey for five years. They stayed together for five years, until 2010. The actress then dated former NFL player Brian Urlacher for a few months in 2012. She admitted that she met her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, at a time when she made up her mind to not settle for anyone until she got 'The One.' She shared:

"And I literally said that out loud. I said, 'God, I'm not helping. I don't want to be a teacher to any more guys. I want to just love. I want someone that reflects the love that I have inside of me.' That's it. A reflection of where I'm at, because I felt like I was at a really great place, and within probably a month, I met Donnie."
