At a comedy show of Pranit More, an audience member named Himanshu Jangra turned out to be the internet's 'villain' as he made a misogynistic comment. It so happened that Himanshu's comment led him to get fired from his firm, and along with that, Pranit More was also dragged into this controversy.
People on social media have been slamming both Pranit and Himanshu Jangra for the kind of jokes they made, which were extremely degrading, and it was rightfully tagged as 'misogynistic'. Amid this, people have been digging into information about Himanshu, as his boss recently shared that he was sacked following the heavy backlash that he received. Reportedly, Himanshu Jangra is 23 years old, and he was employed with Starvik Design, Gurgaon. While not many confirmed details are available about him, as per AmbitionBox, Himanshu Jangra might have a salary package of 3-5 LPA, as according to the site, it's the estimated earnings for an employee with entry-mid level experience with the same designation in the firm.
Speaking of what exactly happened, it was at Pranit More's Gurgaon comedy show, when Himanshu, was asked to share an anecdote. While speaking about the same, Himanshu revealed how he once went on a date and spent Rs. 370 on Biriyani, and expected intimacy with the girl in return. Such an insensible comment has left the social media bursting with anger, leading to the aftermath of his company firing him. The misogynistic comment that Himanshu made could exactly be quoted as:
"Maine kaha ki Rs 370 lage hain to use to wasool to karunga hi."
Pranit More has also been blasted on social media for not stopping Himanshu Jangra and not schooling him when he made such a comment. Recently, that firm's founder, Vivek Vishwakarma, also spoke about the same. Speaking to a leading portal, he revealed that Pranit should have stopped Himanshu when he made such a comment.
He further added that he doesn't want to take Himanshu's side, but he was a 22-year-old, coming from a small town in Haryana, and he also wanted to be an influencer, which amplified there on the show, and Pranit also boosted him right there. Sharing that Pranit should have cut Himanshu right there, his boss said:
"The vibe of the show was like, it was called 'the Ashlil show'. I don’t want to take Himanshu's side, but for a 22-year-old coming from a small town in Haryana and seeing all those things, and he was already trying to be an influencer on social media, I think it amplified there and Pranit also boosted him. He should have cut him then and there."
According to Vivek, Himanshu is a totally different personality at the office, and he is a good employee. He further added that initially, he didn't come across the clip, but when he did, he found the statement to be very offensive. He further added that he eventually received several negative comments, which were also affecting the company's reputation, given that every partner had been stepping away. Well, as an outcome, Himanshu was fired.
