For those unaware, the actor recently tied the knot with the love of his life, Dion Karas. It is worth noting that, just like Evan, his now-wife has also acted in Hallmark movies like The Stars Between Us.
According to a report by PEOPLE, Evan Roderick tied the knot with Dion Karas on August 22, 2026. The couple chose to get married in Loutraki, Greece, where Dion had spent most of her summers while growing up. The wedding celebration spanned three days, with welcome drinks being served on August 21, 2026.
The next day, Evan and Dion’s ceremony took place at the latter’s hometown church, Agios Ioannis. Later, the reception took place at Dion’s family home, which had the perfect view of the Ionian Sea. The festivities finally wrapped up with a “recovery pool day,” which also took place at the bride's family home.
While speaking with the outlet, Dion opened up about how Loutraki has become a special place for the couple over the last few years. This is why they thought it would be “the perfect spot” for their big day. She also revealed that since Evan was baptized Greek Orthodox, the place is what he calls his second home.
According to Evan and Dion, the one key thing that they had in mind while planning the wedding was their friends and family. They said:
“The most important thing to us was having our friends and family all together in this special place. We really wanted to create a setting where they could experience Greece in its truest form; a classic large celebration of eating, drinking, and dancing!”
To bring their vision to life, Evan and Dion incorporated “the vast greenery, florals, and mountain terrain of the mainland” into their wedding. They also combined what they described as modern and Grecian aesthetics with flowers and fruits that were vibrant purple, burgundy, and green in color.
For her big day, Dion Karas wore a dress that she designed with the help of her father, Stephen Karas. She claimed that she always knew her dad would be the one to make her wedding dress. According to the actress, she wanted the dress to feel somewhat classic while having an ancient Grecian feel to it. She added:
“I’ve always loved Greek history, and the style that went along with it, so incorporating that into the design not only felt personal, but so fun. Using a champagne-hued French peau de soie, it has a square neck — a little Renaissance feeling — with a diagonal drop waist, and hand-sewn drapery on the skirt.”
Meanwhile, Evan Roderick also chose to wear a custom design by his father-in-law. Photos from their big day showed the Hallmark actor looking dapper in a brown linen suit with vintage brass buttons engraved with small roses.
For those unaware, Evan and Dion first crossed paths in 2022. At that time, Dion was working at a restaurant owned by one of his friends. Recalling the exact moment he saw his now-wife, Evan said that she was wearing a blue denim jumpsuit and he just couldn't take his eyes off her. Eventually, he decided to ask his friend to introduce him to Dion under the guise of a team shot. He added:
“I repeated this request several more times that evening, hoping that she would catch my drift that I was interested in her. She didn’t. By the end of the night, I realized I was just going to have to build up the strength to ask her out. I did, and the rest is history.”
