In the November 5, 2026 episode of The Girls podcast, reality TV star-turned-TV host Rachel Campos-Duffy alleged that Jennifer Lawrence had undergone a facelift. Rachel added that the Die My Love star no longer had the charm her hooded eyelids used to give her face. As per Rachel, Jennifer was 'gorgeous' when she starred as 'Katniss Everdeen' in The Hunger Games franchise, but her alleged cosmetic procedures ruined her natural beauty. In her words:
"Jennifer Lawrence, everybody knows who she is. She was Katniss. She's gorgeous. She's only 36 years old. And I think part of her beauty is that she has, her eyes are a little bit hooded, which I find on her looks really beautiful."
Rachel also weighed in on whether Jennifer Lawrence's changed appearance could ultimately hurt her acting career. "I wonder if it's going to affect her career," she said, referencing Jennifer Grey, whose nose surgery famously altered her appearance after Dirty Dancing. The TV host then made a brutal comment, saying that the 36-year-old actress was 'unforgivable' for allegedly having work done on her face.
Rachel further stated that Jennifer 'embarrassed herself' at the VMAs with her changed appearance, despite having 'all that wealth to teach us how to age gracefully.' The Real World: San Francisco alum accused Jennifer of failing to use her celebrity status for empowerment, instead 'teaching us a different lesson.' The host doubled down on her attack, saying the actress might face professional problems because of her new look. In her words:
"But if you're doing like what Jennifer Lawrence just did, she's not gonna be able to express, you know what I mean? Like, I think professionally it's a problem. That's what's so unforgivable about Jennifer Lawrence. You have all the money in the world. Go find somebody who will enhance you and not change you."
Jennifer Lawrence posed for some sultry shots for The Cut's cover story, where she appeared 'unrecognizable' to netizens, who spotted the disappearance of her hooded eyes and changes in her facial structure. Netizens commented, "Doesn't look like her" and "She's unrecognizable in these pictures and I don't mean it as a compliment."
One Internet user wrote, "What happened to her face?! No one on the marketing team could say she looks dead in the eyes?!" Another stated, "She ruined her face." Some others claimed she either got plastic surgery or her photos were badly retouched. "Are we pretending she didn't have eye surgery?" one wrote, and "We used to be hooded eye twins," another commented.
Notably, Jennifer Lawrence didn't address the speculation about her eyelid surgery, but she said she's planning to get a facelift someday during her interview with The Cut. She revealed that she had a breast augmentation and shared that she did it because of her desire to be a 'sexy mom'. Jennifer added that she wants to look gorgeous even when she has just woken up. She said:
"I want to be a sexy mom. At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her s—t together even when I've just woken up and don't have my s—t together."
