Emily Ratajkowski opened up about her sex life with her ex-husband, Sebastian Bear McClard, in her new essay, and how she went on a hookup 'mania' after her divorce.
Emily Ratajkowski is one of the most renowned American models and actresses we have seen in recent times. Recently, the 35-year-old has been hogging the spotlight after opening up about sex as a single mother in a new essay. On top of this, she also stripped down to ‘breastfeed’ a fake baby to highlight what she wanted to say. However, what caught the most attention was the shocking claims she made about her sex life with ex-husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard.
For those unaware, in her personal life, Emily Ratajkowski was married to actor and producer, Sebastian Bear-McClard. It was on February 23, 2018, that Emily shocked fans by announcing on Instagram that she had already tied the knot with her boyfriend of several weeks in a courthouse wedding in New York City. During their marriage, the duo welcomed a son named Sylvester on March 8, 2021.
Interestingly, in her latest essay, Emily made the shocking revelation that she stopped having sex with Sebastian just six months after their son was born. She recalled that after she welcomed Sylvester, she experienced “a violent transition into a new raw reality of screaming baby on my aching tit and ring on my swollen finger.” According to Emily, her “marriage collapsed” after what she described as a period of time that felt both instant and excruciatingly slow. She added:
“Six months after my son was born, my husband and I stopped having sex. Less than a year later, we separated.”
It was in September 2022 that Emily Ratajkowski filed for divorce from her ex-husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard. At the time, sources revealed that Sebastian had allegedly cheated on Emily, with one insider even claiming, “He's a serial cheater. It's gross. He's a dog.” One year after the model filed for divorce, Sebastian was accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour with teenage girls, although he has not opened up about these allegations. After her divorce was finalised, Emily revealed that people began looking at her in a “condescending way.” She said:
“Their furrowed brows, the pity in their faces as they delivered an ‘I’m so sorry, Emily.' I couldn't stand my pathetic reflection in their eyes. They saw me as someone who was unwanted, who had been left.”
During the same essay, Emily revealed how, as a kid, she thought that it was crucial to avoid becoming a single mom and even considered the term an insult. According to her, having a child with the wrong man was the fastest way to ruin one's life as a woman. In fact, it meant that the woman would be left with “no freedom, no choices, no emergency exit” and all baggage and no security. However, she finally learned how to embrace her status as a single mom, following which, she went on a hookup “mania.” In her words, Emily “decided to f–k my way into a new kind of woman.” She added:
“Before my separation, I’d never had a one-night stand. I’d never slept with someone the same day I met them. In fact, I’d only slept with eight people: four of whom had been live-in boyfriends, and one of whom was my male best friend in high school. I didn’t f–k anyone, I wasn’t pretty sure would fall in love with me because I wanted to be precious.”
