The plotline of Elle

Elle, the prequel of Legally Blonde, follows the 16-year-old 'Elle' (played by Lexi Minetree), who is in high school. Things seem to be normal, until her family faces severe issues, forcing them to leave Los Angeles and move to Seattle. This is when the web series picks up speed. Initially, 'Elle' struggles to fit in as Seattle is very different from the life she was living.

'Elle's' classmates judge her for her different dressing sense. Despite the differences and challenges, 'Elle' manages to make a few friends, 'Liz', 'Dustin', 'Miles' and 'Kimberly'. In the first few episodes, the makers establish 'Elle' as a smart teenager, who even helps her friend, 'Liz's' mother and clears some false accusations against her. Things get interesting when 'Elle' develops feelings for 'Miles' and 'Dustin' secretly falls in love with her.

Audience reviews of Elle

Hours after Elle dropped on Amazon Prime Video, multiple cinephiles binged watched it and shared their reviews on it. One user commented, "Elle isn't bad but it makes no sense as a Legally Blonde prequel. No one for fans of continuity but I had fun." Another user penned, "Few episodes in elle and it's basically what if legally blonde happened in high school instead. They should've marketed it as a reimagining." A third user wrote:

"This show is so fucking good omg I'm only on ep 4, I'm already obsessed, the actress playing young Elle is amazing she looks and acts so much like the og Elle from the movie. I genuinely can't separate them in my head. I'm completely sold that they're the same person."
