Now that Dianna and Mike’s alleged affair is all over the internet, her past link-up with former Redskins general manager, Scot McCloughan surfaced.
Back in 2015, when Dianna Russini was working at ESPN as an NFL reporter and insider, she faced a serious allegation. She was accused of taking sexual favours from the-then Redskins general manager, Scot McCloughan. The shocking accusation was made by Scot’s wife, Jessica McCloughan. In a now-deleted tweet, Jessica wrote:

On April 7, 2026, Page Six published the pictures of Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona. In the now-viral snaps, the duo was seen holding hands, hugging, lounging and sharing a hot tub. Initially, it was rumoured that Dianna Russini’s husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, hired a private investigator to leak the former and Mike’s alleged scandalous affair. But it was TMZ that debunked the rumours and revealed that a local couple actually leaked the pictures. According to a recent report, Sportico's legal expert, Michael McCann, shared that the local unnamed couple have broken the law and might get sued by Dianna and Mike.
Shortly after Page Six published the pictures, both Dianna and Mike denied any wrongdoing and insisted that they were part of a larger group. However, soon more pictures of them surfaced online. Following this, Dianna’s resignation from The Athletic made headlines. For the uninitiated, Dianna resigned from her role at The Athletic on April 14, 2026. In her resignation letter, Dianna mentioned that the decision to resign from her post was difficult for her, but she believed it was the right choice for her, her family and her career. Dianna highlighted that she covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication. An excerpt from her resignation letter can be read as:
"Please accept this letter as my resignation from The Athletic, effective immediately. I have to this decision with deep sadness but with clarity about what is right for me, my family, and the work I have spent my career building. I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published."
On the other hand, New England Patriots head coach, Mike Vrabel announced that he would miss Day 3 of the NFL Draft to seek counselling. It is worth noting that while Mike and Dianna’s alleged affair made headlines, they are married to their respective partners. Mike is married to Jen Vrabel, while Dianna is married to Shake Shack executive, Kevin Goldschmidt. Dianna and Kevin are parents to two sons, Michael and Joey.
