Recently, Dianna Russini’s close friend, Stugotz shared his opinion on the ongoing controversy of the former NFL insider of The Athletic and Patriots’ head coach. During the latest episode of the podcast, Stugotz and Company, the veteran radio host shared that when he last had a conversation with Dianna, she sounded very different. Stugotz was quoted as saying:
"I am telling you when I talked to Dianna on the phone, it’s not the same Dianna. If that makes people feel better or feel worse, I don’t really give a shit. I’m just telling you that zest, that kind of bounce in her step, that pep in her step, when I talk to her, I don’t hear it nearly as much as I used to, obviously."
Further, Stugotz also shared that he is ready to offer a job to his close friend, Dianna Russini, if she is interested. For the unversed, Jon Weiner, who is best known as Stugotz has been one of the most popular radio journalists for decades. Later, Stugotz spoke about Dianna’s family and explained that they are impacted by it. Stugotz mentioned:
"That should go without saying. To suggest that Dianna isn’t feeling this and her family isn’t impacted by this is laugh-out-loud funny. They’re impacted."
Moments after the cosy photos of Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel were leaked by Page Six, she chose to resign as the NFL insider of The Athletic. In her resignation letter, she mentioned that throughout her time at The Athletic, she remained professional and covered all the stories with dedication. She also explained that she does not want to give oxygen to the ongoing gossip. A part of her letter can be read as:
"Rather than allowing this to continue, I have decided to step aside now — before my current contract expires on June 30. I do so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career."
Ever since the photos of Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel have been released, multiple netizens and outlets have targeted her personal and professional life. In the past few days, multiple users on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that Dianna had often made a personal bond with coaches to get her work done. Some of the names that are coming up amid the ongoing controversy are David Wright, Nick Caserio, Sean McVay, Arthur Smith and Mike Tomlin.
Recently, Tony Farmer shared a post on X, during which he revealed that an NFL witness once saw Mike and Dianna getting cosy with each other. According to the witness, Dianna was sitting on Mike Vrabel’s lap and when she got up, the Patriots’ head coach gave her a ‘friendly little slap’ on her butt. Reportedly, this incident took place somewhere around February 2026. It is worth mentioning that in her personal life, Dianna Russini has been married to Kevin Goldschmidt since 2020.
