DC: The Bloody Valentine is all about violence, crime, and revenge. The story of DC follows 'Devdas' (played by Lokesh Kanagaraj). While he navigates a dangerous criminal underworld, he meets 'Chandra' (played by Wamiqa Gabbi), and the duo embarks on a violent journey driven by vengeance, passion and survival.
Both 'Devdas' and 'Chandra' are very much protective of each other. The film shows 'Devdas' questioning the system and being hunted by the police. Alongside Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi, DC: The Bloody Valentine also features Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, who will be seen in a prominent role as 'Parvathi'.

While 'Devdas' portrays a strong-headed man, 'Chandra' is a woman with strong willpower. 'Chandra's' life takes an unexpected turn when fate brings her together with 'Devdas'.
The film has already created a buzz online. A user wrote on Reddit, "Is it fair to say I have some hope for this because of the director? If there’s a director who knows how to make gritty crime stories, it’s Arun Matheswaran (he did it twice), and it’s been a long time since we got a romantic crime film. Hopefully he gives weight towards the actresses and doesn't use them as a plot point."
Lauding Anirudh Ravichander’s Raga of Revenge soundtrack, a user commented on Reddit, "Anirudh cooked so hard, I can't lie. Arun Matheswaran has a damn good eye for awesome cinematography. Only thing I'm sceptical about is Lokesh, honestly." Another user penned, "Lokesh as a hero and musician Anirudh, what a combo yaar." A third user wrote:

Back in May 2026, Wamiqa Gabbi interacted with her fans on Instagram. She opened up about her shooting experience for the film, DC: The Bloody Valentine and described it as the best. She called it almost a life-changing experience. Keeping her character arc hidden, Wamiqa mentioned that the overall experience was amazing. She was quoted as saying:
"Oh, my God! One of the best shooting experiences of my life. It was almost life-changing. I cannot say anything about the character, but yeah, amazing. We have already finished the shoot, and now it is in post-production."
During the same interaction, Wamiqa opened up about her working experience with Lokesh and director Arun. She called Lokesh a humble, beautiful and kind man. She added that it was an honour to work with both Lokesh and Arun. Expressing her wish to collaborate again, Wamiqa said:
"It was amazing. What a humble, beautiful, kind man. It was a pleasure and an honour working with both him and Arun sir. And I hope to collaborate with them again."
