Former child actor, Daveigh Chase passed away at the age of 35. It was in the early 2000s, when Daveigh grabbed the attention with her performances, and was best known for voicing 'Lilo' in Disney's Lilo & Stitch and portraying 'Samara Morgan' in the horror classic The Ring. Daveigh's sudden passing at such an early age has left the entertainment industry heartbroken, and her fans have been mourning her death. Amid this, Daveigh's alleged beau shared the reason for her passing, revealing that she was going through some health challenges. Amid her passing, a statement from her old interview and her last social media post surfaced.
Daviegh Chase was away from the public limelight for nearly a decade, and there were several reasons behind it. Daveigh's last IG post dates back to 2017. Sharing a black and white photo, Daveigh penned, 'Unicorns do exist'. Her post had now resurfaced, with people commenting on the same and mourning Daveigh's untimely passing. Apart from that, Daveigh, in an old interview, revealed her wish.
Daveigh Chase shared that she hoped to do something that would change someone's life, and not something that people would forget. In the same interview, she reportedly shared how a stroke of bad luck brought her to Hollywood. She revealed that her mom was injured in a car accident, which didn't allow her to drive for six months. It was Daveigh, an eight-year-old back then, who was reportedly exploring the local entertainment industry to pass the time, and well, the rest is history.
Daveigh Chase was known for her work in Lilo & Stitch and The Ring, and the latter brought her the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain. Apart from that, she was also seen in Donnie Darko and HBO'S Big Love. She also voiced 'Chihiro' in the award-winning film, Spirited Away. Well, it was in 2016 when she stepped away from the limelight. She was last seen in independent films, Jack Goes Home and American Romance, and following that, she didn't appear in any such projects. Not just she stepped away from the industry, but also from public life. According to her alleged beau, Roy Hernandez, Daveigh had faced several challenges, such as bullying, financial crunches and emotional toll, which made it impossible for her to continue being in the public limelight.
Apart from that, she had hit the headlines with certain incidents, including drug possession charges, riding a stolen vehicle, and also for being linked to a hospital related to a dying man. She also had issues going on in her family, and she was reportedly distanced from them. Well, all of these back-to-back blows led Daveigh to step back from public life and live a private life.
Speaking about the reason for her death, her alleged beau, Roy, shared that Daveigh Chase was admitted to the hospital earlier this month due to malnutrition. As per him, Daveigh passed away from meningitis, which is a form of blood infection, caused by septic complications. Roy also reportedly launched a GoFundMe page, a few days before Daveigh's passing. No further details about the cause of her death have been revealed so far.
