In a statement shared by his representative, it was recently revealed that Carrot Top is receiving medical care and is awake and breathing on his own.
Carrot Top’s lawyer said that the comedian was being extorted by a man named Brian Evans before he attempted suicide. Amid this, Carrot Top’s 911 call has emerged, in which the caller could be heard telling him to stay awake.
According to a report by TMZ, a frantic caller had dialed 911 when Carrot Top was barely conscious and struggling to breathe. They urged the dispatchers to get help to the comedian's Las Vegas home as quickly as possible.
The caller reportedly told dispatchers that they went to check on Carrot Top after one of his employees asked her to. This is when they found him near the pool. The caller then informed the dispatchers that Carrot Top was awake; however, he appeared to be “passing out.” They said that the comedian's eyes were rolling back and his face had been turning blue.
Things took an even more serious turn when the caller claimed that Carrot Top was barely breathing. At this point, the dispatcher walked them through laying him down flat, tilting his head back, and monitoring his breathing closely. This was required in case CPR became necessary.
Soon, the caller could be heard repeatedly pleading with Carrot Top, saying, “Stay awake. Stay awake. Stay awake.” They then told dispatchers that Carrot Top was “passing out now.” They informed dispatchers that the comedian's legs were hanging in the pool and that they were struggling to move him when paramedics raced to the house.
Carrot Top is still in the hospital, where he is receiving close medical care. His representative shared that he is awake and is breathing without any assistance. He is reportedly recovering in the presence of his family members and close friends. The comedian's representative also shared that he is now in a condition where he can interact with the medical team that is looking after him.
Despite going through this tough time, Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, has even managed to share some jokes. And the fact that he is awake and able to breathe on his own has given his fans a huge sense of relief as they wondered about his well-being. Still, his family has urged fans to respect his privacy as he focuses on his recovery.
