The former couple came together over the weekend to celebrate an important milestone in their children's lives. Their gesture showed that co-parenting remains their priority above all else.
Cardi B and Offset came together to organize a lavish joint birthday party for their son, Wave, who turned 5 on September 4, 2026, and their daughter, Blossom, who turned 2 on September 7, 2026. They not only shared different glimpses of the same in photos and videos from the event. However, the former couple did not appear together in any photo or video.
Since the party celebrated two birthdays, there were two themes. Blossom's side was themed with Disney magic while Wave's party featured the colorful world of Sonic the Hedgehog. The rapper joined the Disney theme and dressed herself up in a Minnie Mouse-inspired outfit with a red polka dress, sparkling mouse ears, and bright yellow heels. Cardi B's videos from the night offered a clear glimpse of the festive atmosphere, with massive balloon displays, carnival-style games, and snack stations.
One special detail that caught the attention of many internet users was a full Chipotle food station. Cardi B joked about the setup while filming, recalling an important promise she made to fans. In her words:
"Remember when I said if I get married, I'm gonna put up a Chipotle stand?. Well, I ain't getting married any time soon, but I got a whole bunch of kids, and of course I got a Chipotle stand."
Despite not sharing the frame, Cardi B and Offset's Instagram activities clearly showed that the former couple left no stone unturned to make the day memorable for their children. The rapper also shared another video of her daughter, Kulture, confidently walking and posing like a runway model to the song Gnarly.
The former couple came together for the event nearly two years after they filed for divorce, which is still pending. Sources close to the couple earlier clarified that the divorce was driven less by a single event and more by the couple growing apart. Still, things became complex during the proceedings.
A year ago, in June 2025, Cardi B publicly accused Offset of being an absent father and claimed that he rarely spent time with their youngest child, Blossom. It led people to believe that the bond between her and Offset had reached a point of no return.
Later, Offset shared his perspective on the broader situation and claimed that he wanted peace for his family. Yet, he also filed for a plea asking for the DNA test match of Cardi B's youngest child and her first with Stefon Diggs.
After filing for divorce, Cardi B has acknowledged that she has stepped into a new phase of life. Earlier this year, she described that she felt "reborn" after the divorce. In fact, she explained how the significant personal changes had led to her growth. The Grammy-winning rapper admitted that she felt like a different person than she was in the final years of her marriage.
Meanwhile, she is currently focused on raising her kids, Kulture, Wave, and Blossom with Offset. She welcomed one more baby with Stefon Diggs in November 2026. However, the duo has not revealed his name to the public.
