Bipasha Accidentally Shares Deepika Kept Newborn's Name As 'Devi' After Her Daughter, Edits It Later

Bipasha Basu expressed her surprise at Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh choosing to keep their daughter's name as 'Devi', but edits later.

Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been making headlines after they announced their second daughter's name as 'Devi Padukone Singh' on the occasion of Dussehra. However, Bipasha Basu was surprised, and fans noticed her first reaction, in which she accidentally revealed why Deepika and Ranveer named their daughter 'Devi'.

Bipasha edited her comment after revealing why Deepika and Ranveer kept their daughter's name as 'Devi' 

Bipasha Basu expressed her surprise on Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's choosing 'Devi' as their daughter, which is same as her own daughter. She left a sweet comment stating that the couple was serious when they told her they loved the name 'Devi'. However, Bipasha quickly edited her comment and replaced it with a simple 'Devi', followed by a heart emoji. But eagle-eyed netizens had already taken a screenshot of her comment. 

It cannot be determined why Bipasha's choose to edit the comment, but it could be due to the fact that the Bengali beauty didn't want to take the attention away from Deepika and Ranveer's special moment. On the occasion of Dussehra, Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram handle and introduced her second daughter to the world. In the photo, the entire family was dressed in hues of ivory. Ranveer was dressed in an ivory silk kurta, and his hair was falling over his forehead.

The second-time mommy, Deepika, was holding her newborn baby girl in her arms while Dua gave a sweet kiss on the forehead of the little one. The actress tagged her husband, Ranveer Singh. Deepika was laughing as she saw her firstborn's love for her baby sister. Along with it, Deepika announced her second daughter's name as 'Devi', and wrote:

"Of Love & Abundance… Devi Padukone Singh."

For those who don't know, on September 19, 2026, Deepika Padukone shared a collaborative post with Ranveer Singh. The picture featured an adorable little footprint along with the caption "Welcome Baby Girl! 19/9/2026. Dua, Deepika and Ranveer". The couple was blessed with a baby girl during the Ganpati festival. Just a day before the birth of their second daughter, Deepika and Ranveer visited Siddhivinayak to seek Ganpati Bappa's blessings.

On April 19, 2026, Deepika and Ranveer announced to the world that their family is growing as they are busy nesting for another little wonder in their life. Taking to Instagram, Deepika shared a rare glimpse of her daughter, Raha, who looks super excited to get promoted to big sister. The little girl was holding her mumma's pregnancy test result, which had two red lines on it. The post was liked by Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Kiara Advani, and many more.

For those who don't know, Bipasha Basu is married to Karan Singh Grover. The couple got blessed with their first child, a baby girl. Bipasha once revealed that she was trying to get pregnant after marriage, but it was not materalising. But when she visited Vaishno Mata temple to pray for a child, she found out about her pregnancy in the ninth month after her visit to the shrine. Hence, it is the reason why she named her daughter as 'Devi'.
