Recently, Barun's tired, weak appearance during Farah Khan's celebrity home visit vlog made his fans worry about his health. The viewers thought that he was either going through something in his personal life or was lacking proper nutrition. It brought forth the discussion around his ADHD struggles once again.
In a candid conversation with Pinkvilla, Barun Sobti opened up about his Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and how it shaped his career and work ethic. He revealed that money was never his primary motivator in choosing or rejecting a particular project. He said he would not call himself a "materialistic person" because he stepped away from caring about cast fees and similar things long ago. He recalled that financial gains motivated him to do something only until he was a kid. His perspective changed completely when he grew up, and his ADHD played a part in it. His exact words were:
"I'm not a very materialistic person. I was not the kind of person [who's like] 'I want this much money.' Money never motivated me. I found that these were the things that motivated me when I was a kid. Because I didn't have a lot of brain."
Barun went on to make a very personal admission, stating that he "goes crazy" without creatively satisfying work. It was the primary reason for his selectivity in his on-screen roles. He often shared that his friends and colleagues asked him to take on more projects; however, he couldn't do so, as it's not often that a role interests him and piques his creativity. His ADHD gets triggered if he has to work on something he doesn't like. Even his wife, Pashmeen Manchanda, advises him never to take up a project half-heartedly. Talking about creative satisfaction, Barun Sobti stated:
"When I grew up, I figured out that creative satisfaction matters a lot to me. I'm ADHD anyway. I go crazy if I'm not doing anything that is really satisfying to me. But it took some time to understand that."

But as soon as Farah arrived at his home, he looked weak, and the way he spoke left many worried about his health. His fans questioned if everything was fine with Barun. After watching the vlog, his fans shared their thoughts. One user pointed out, "For the first time on Farah Khan's show, the guest energy felt completely off. Almost every celebrity warmly greeted Farah and Dilip, but here, Dilip was practically invisible. No proper welcome, no interaction."
Another one wrote, "He [Barun] seems to be weak and not well. I feel he is starving himself." A third user penned, "Something is not okay with Barun. He is out of zone." A fourth commented, "I like his wife how she is trying to cover up the situation in a good way." However, Barun's die-hard fans just loved seeing him in his natural habitat.
