Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, who were considered one of the power couples of B-town, had left the entire nation shocked with their separation announcement. It shook their fans and friends as no one had expected the once-in-love couple to part ways after 15 years of togetherness. Recently, Aamir and Kiran resumed their work, and the picture of the same has been making rounds on the internet.
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao had fallen in love when the former was going through a tough divorce from his first wife, Reena Dutta. The actor had met Kiran on the sets of Ashutosh Gowariker-directed, Lagaan in the year 2001.

On July 9, 2021, Aamir Khan's upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha's co-star, Naga Chaitanya shared a picture from the sets as they resume their shooting after the lockdown. In the picture, we can see the 34-year-old actor posing with Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Advait Chandan. Naga Chaitanya captioned the picture as "Grateful." Check it out below:
On July 3, 2021, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, parents to a son, Azad, issued a joint statement announcing their divorce. It could be read as "In these 15 beautiful years together, we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect and love. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives — no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other."

Aamir and Kiran's divorce statement had further revealed they have been planning it for quite some time. The duo had also revealed that they feel comfortable formalising living separately yet sharing their lives the way an extended family does.
The couple had concluded their statement by stating that they will remain devoted parents to their son Azad, who they will nurture and raise together. They will also continue to work as collaborators on films, Paani Foundation, and other projects that they feel passionate about.
