Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame, Pooja Joshi rose to fame with her stint as ‘Varsha Singhania’ in the hit serial. As a result, she became a household name because of her performance and won hearts. However, she decided to cut short her acting career after she got married to the love of her life, Manish Arora, in 2015. The duo is proud parents to their 6-year-old daughter, Ridhima. And now, the couple are all set to welcome a new member to their addition. For the unversed, Pooja announced her second pregnancy on July 20, 2023.
In a recent interaction with BollywoodLife, Pooja Joshi opened up on her pregnancy news. She revealed that since her daughter, Riddhima is almost six-years old now, she has been long planning to have a second child with her husband. Moreover, she revealed how it was her daughter, who insisted her to have a child, so that the former could get a sibling to play with. Pooja also revealed that she is on her ninth month, and added that her pregnancy has been smooth till now. In her words:
“My daughter, Ridhima is now five-and-a-half-year-old and it's been a long time we really wanted a second child. Ridhima was more curious and she wanted it. She told that she wants a sibling. My husband was very happy and Ridhima used to see her friends with her siblings so she always wanted one. She is a caring girl so she always said that I want a sibling and I want a girl. We thought that we should not plan another baby but because of Ridhima's insistence we decided to have another baby. So, this journey started and now it's my ninth month so any time the baby can arrive. Till now, the pregnancy is going on smoothly by God's grace.”

In the same interview, Pooja Joshi spoke about a miraculous incident on how she learnt about her pregnancy. She mentioned that she had been discussing having a second child for a long time with her husband, and even spoke about taking medical help, if she was not able to conceive naturally. However, it was her husband’s response that shocked her. She highlighted how he was quite sure that she was already pregnant and even asked her to get it checked. Spilling the beans on it, Pooja mentioned:
“This time a miraculous thing happened. Before conceiving I was telling my husband that if we cannot have a baby naturally then we will ask the doctor. But suddenly he said, jo hai tumhare andar uska kya karogi. Pehle check toh karlo. And you won't believe the next day I found out that I was actually pregnant. We were both surprised. A day before he touched my stomach and felt something was different. I was also feeling something different in my body but I was so surprised that he had said it already. We were happy that all this happened naturally. Usually, the mothers yet this feeling of having a baby inside but here it was the father. Everyone was very happy in the family.”
It was on July 20, 2023, when Pooja took to her IG handle and dropped a cutesy pregnancy announcement video. It featured the actress flaunting her full-grown baby bump as she posed with her husband, Manish and their daughter, Riddhima. However, what stole the show was the way Riddhima held a slate with the words “Coming Soon” written on it.
