Famous actor, Gurucharan Singh, who played the character of 'Roshan Singh Sodhi' in the famous comedy. show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been missing for the past six days. He had left for New Delhi to come to Mumbai. However, he never reached Mumbai. His family and friends are worried about his whereabouts. Meanwhile, police have now registered a kidnapping case based on a complaint filed by Gurucharan's father.
A report by India Today claimed that Gurucharan Singh was about to get married at the age of 50 and was facing financial difficulties. The police official had revealed that Gurucharan had withdrawn about Rs. 7000 from an ATM in Delhi, and it was his last traceable location. After which his phone was switched off. The actor's father had registered the complaint on April 22, 2024.

After Gurucharan’s sudden disappearance left his family and friends worried, his father filed a complaint. In the report, Gurucharan's father revealed that his 50-year-old son left home at 8:30 am to catch his flight, but he has neither reached Mumbai nor returned home. His father also revealed that he was mentally stable and they had been trying to search for him. The statement can be read as:
“My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on April 22nd to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing!”
Guruchran has been part of the Taarak Mehta from the beginning. However, he had left the show in 2013, and re-entered the next year after his fans' demand. However, in 2021, he left the show once and for all and revealed that his father underwent a surgery and he wanted to take care of him. However, some claimed that Gurucharan left the show due to a payment delay, but he never talked about it. He was quoted as saying
“Hum pyaar mohabbat se aage badhna pasand karna chahte hain. There are some other reasons I don’t want to talk about. God knows, I don’t know. Agar rab ki marzi hogi toh (If God wishes) I will return. But nothing as such for now. Last time too, I hadn’t expected or planned, it just happened.”
