Shah Rukh Khan's film, Om Shanti Om was one of the biggest hits of the actor's career. The entire nation loved Shah Rukh's chemistry with then-debutante Deepika Padukone. However, not many know that Shah Rukh felt extremely uncomfortable working with then-21-year-old Deepika Padukone in the film. Once, he had even spoken about it.
When Shah Rukh appeared on the Koffee couch, Karan Johar asked the superstar if he felt awkward working with someone who had seen him when she was a child. The actor gave an honest reply and shared that he realised while doing the first scene that it was one of the silly things. He added he felt like a liar and a little 'stalker uncle' and even 'kamina' that he was romancing a young girl. Shah Rukh was quoted as saying:
"I started feeling jhoota (liar). I started feeling, may I say the word, little stalker uncle, little kamina (bad). Ki main kya yeh choti si bacchi ke liye aise peeche peeche kar ke bhag raha hoon (That I am running after this little girl)?"

When Karan asked Deepika if there was a nervous moment working with Shah Rukh, the superstar interwined and joked, "A couple of times, she said, 'I love you, uncle'." During one of her media interactions with The Week, Deepika Padukone talked about her relationship with Shah Rukh Khan. She shared that it goes way beyond the luck factor.
