In the Imtiaz Ali directorial, Parineeti played the role of the late singer, Amar Singh Chamkila's second wife, Amarjot Kaur, and showed versatility in her acting skills. Moreover, the diva also showcased her singing forte and received much appreciation for her version of the songs, Teri Mitti and Matlabi Yariyan. The movie indeed impressed millions of fans nationwide, and Parineeti is also garnering fans' love for the same.
Now, a fan of Parineeti Chopra took to his/her X handle (formerly Twitter) and penned a note, mentioning how the actress has pure versatility in her work. The fan also mentioned that the actress didn't get the backing that her contemporaries got, otherwise she too, would have been one of the hugely successful actress from her generation. The fan wrote, "What an actor Parineeti Chopra has been right from Ishaqzaade to Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and now in #AmarSinghChamkila. If she had the kind of backing that her contemporaries had, she would have done wonders in the last decade." Soon, the actress replied to the same and mentioned that she wishes to work with more good directors. Her reply can be read as:
"Hoping this changes after Chamkila. Want to do lots of good work, waiting for good directors to call me!"

On April 14, 2024, Parineeti Chopra dropped an array of pictures from the sets of her recently released film, Amar Singh Chamkila on her IG handle. The picture featured many sweet moments from the film's shooting day. And sharing them, the actress penned a heartfelt note expressing her gratitude for the immense success of the same. She mentioned how her tears of joy weren't stopping from coming out from her eyes and penned:
"Curled up in my blanket. Overwhelmed with your words, calls, and movie reviews. (tears are not stopping). 'PARINEETI IS BACK.' These words are ringing loud. Hadn’t thought of this. Yes I am back, and not going anywhere!"
A few days back, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra and Imtiaz Ali graced an episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. During their conversation, Parineeti talked about the challenges she faced for her part in the film. The actress revealed the real cause behind her fluffy look for quite some days. Parineeti mentioned she had to gain 15 kgs of weight, to fit in the role of Amarjot Kaur, who used to sing even when she was pregnant. Elaborating how she was fed parathas for the same by the film makers, Parineeti shared:
“Under Imtiaz's guidance, the amount of fun I have had shooting this film with all the food and parathas he has fed me, I don't think I will have so much fun doing any other film. here is no fun in looking like your own self in a biopic. I gained 15 kg immediately because I wanted to look like Amarjot. She performed at shows during her pregnancy, and I had to look the part."

Coming to her personal front, Parineeti is happily married to Raghav Chadha. Time and again, netizens keep speculating that the couple is set to become parents soon. Back on March 28, 2024, when rumours were rife that Parineeti was donning loose-fitting clothes as she was expecting her first child soon, the actress dropped a sassy post on her IG stories, dismissing those speculations about her pregnancy. It started when the diva graced an event of her film, Amar Singh Chamkila's promotion, wearing a breezy kaftan. But she dropped a witty note which read as:
“Kaftan dress=pregnancy, Oversized shirt=pregnancy, Comfy Indian kurta=pregnancy.”
