The former Miss World, Manushi Chillar stepped into Bollywood with the movie, Samrat Prithviraj alongside Akshay Kumar. Apart from that, she was seen in The Great Indian Family and Operation Valentine. Moreover, her latest film was with Akshay Kumar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. However, it was the age difference between Akshay and Manushi, which brought the actor a lot of flak. And recently, Manushi reacted to the same.
Manushi Chillar recently sat for an interview with Zoom, wherein she talked about the much-debatable issue of age difference in Bollywood. When asked about the social media debate about the senior actors romancing more young actresses on the silver screens, Manushi mentioned that it's not a determining factor for her, rather it can be beneficial.

Talking more about the same, Manushi added her experience of working alongside her Prithviraj co-star, Akshay Kumar. The actress stated that Akshay is a superstar, and she wants to work with him. She also mentioned that it doesn't matter which age Akshay is, but it was fun for her to work with Khiladi Kumar. Manushi can be quoted as saying:
"Akshay Kumar is a superstar, and I want to work with him. For me, it doesn't matter what his age is. I had fun working with him."
Going forward in the interview, Manushi Chillar mentioned that working with a superstar can be beneficial as it brings a lot of visibility for young actresses. The diva added that there was a huge age difference in her first film as well, but for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, it was not a love story of her and Akshay's characters. She added that the makers wanted to make a song that only paired her and Akshay, which is fine with her. Stating that the songs were only for marketing, Manushi shared that she saw nothing atrocious about it. In Manushi's words:
"Working with a superstar is good. You get a certain amount of visibility. If I talk about my first film, there was an age gap. They wanted to play the whole thing. In this film, there was no pairing. We did songs for marketing. There had to be a way to put two people together for the songs, but that's pretty much it, which is fine. I don't see it as something that was atrocious or something that shouldn't have been there. It wasn't like a love story anyway."
Soon after Manushi Chillar and Akshay Kumar's song from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan surfaced online, netizens rushed to the comment section and started bashing the actor for romancing Manushi on-screen, who is 30 years younger than her. While some called it them 'father-daughter' duo, others took a jibe at the actress for having agreed to romance a 30-years older actor than her.

For those who don't know, Manushi Chillar once, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, revealed that after winning her Miss World crown, she wanted to complete her medical entrance in college. The actress stated that she worked really hard as she always wanted to be a doctor. Talking more about the same, Manushi mentioned that as destiny had some other plans she had to leave her medical studies midway, and she ended up in the glamour world.
