Kapil Sharma is one of the most popular faces in the entertainment industry. The actor-comedian has etched his name in the hearts of millions with his exceptional comic timing and pleasant personality. Kapil became a household name with his amazing performances in the TV shows, Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. Moreover, he has even worked in popular films like Firangi, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Zwigato. Talking about his personal life, Kapil got married to the love of his life, Ginni Chatrath on December 12, 2018, and the lovebirds are blessed with two beautiful kids, Anayra and Trishaan.
In a candid conversation with Angelee Sidar on her podcast show, Feel It In Your Soul, Kapil Sharma opened up about his life, career and struggling phase. Talking about the same, the comedian mentioned that when he started his career as an artist, the profession was not valued. The comedian also recalled an incident when he went to meet his wife, Ginni Chatrath's father, to ask the former's hand for marriage. Kapil stated that it was Ginni's father's love for her that he even agreed to meet him. In his words:
"When I was in college, artists weren't valued. Even when I met Ginni's father, it was his extreme love for Ginni that he even agreed to meet me and interview me. Otherwise, a typical father wouldn't have agreed to meet me at all."

Further, in the same conversation, Kapil revealed that Ginni's father was quite apprehensive about his profession and whether he was able to meet ends or not. Elaborating more about it, the comedian stated that his father-in-law didn't believe that he was earning well from television. Mentioning how his sasur ji asked him if he was able to earn Rs. 5 to 10 thousand a day or not, Kapil said:
"At that time, I was earning good money from TV, but he didn't believe it. He asked me if I am able to earn Rs. 5-10k in a day or not. I told him I do more than that. He was shocked and asked, itne paise milte hain."
Earlier, in an interview with The Man Magazine, Kapil Sharma opened up about his love story with Ginni Chatrath. Talking about the same, the comedian revealed that when he got to know that Ginni had feelings for him, he tried to dissuade her from being with him. Mentioning how he told her that they both are from completely different strata of society, Kapil said:
"I found out that madam started liking me, so I explained to her that the car you come in costs more than what my entire family put together is worth! So, it just wouldn't be possible between us."

Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath exchanged their vows in a dreamy wedding ceremony in December 2018. And the lovebirds looked every bit regal on their special day. For his shaadi, Kapil opted for a light green-hued sherwani, which he styled with pyjama and pagdi. On the other hand, Ginni looked like a princess in her laal shaadi ka joda. She completed her look with statement jewellery and glam makeup.
