Kapil Sharma is one of the multi-hyphenated personalities in the Indian entertainment industry. The 42-year-old made a name for himself in showbiz as an actor, comedian, singer, and producer, and is popular for his comedy and talk show, The Kapil Sharma Show. After his successful stint on TV, Kapil is trying his hand at OTT. The comedian’s latest project, The Great Indian Kapil Show (TGIKS), premiered on Netflix on March 30, 2024, and since then it has been getting much attention.
The first episode of the show featured Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and also had a special appearance of Kapil’s wife, Ginni Chatrath. During the episode, Neetu Kapoor shared her thoughts on how her son, Ranbir changed after getting married to Alia Bhatt and subsequently embracing fatherhood with the birth of their daughter, Raha.

Ginni was asked the same question whether Kapil changed after tying the knot with her and becoming a father. For those who don’t know, Kapil and Ginni got married in 2018 and later welcomed their two sweet angels, a daughter, Anayra and a son, Trishaan. Kapil’s wife, Ginni, answered the question and revealed that till the time he is at home, he behaves well but cannot guarantee anything once he leaves home. In her words:
“Mere saamne toh sudhra hua rehta hai, ghar se nikalta hai to main koi guarantee nahin le sakti.”
Kapil, who is known for his witty responses, quickly said that whenever he is at home, his wife complains the whole day about his constant blabbering. Moreover, adding a fun turn to his answer, Kapil said that he gets paid for doing the same on the show. In his words:
“Ghar main kuch bhi boloon, toh kehti hain faaltu baatein mat karo. Yahaan log mujhe faaltu baatein karne ke paise dete hain.”

Moreover, Ginni shared her thoughts on how Kapil has been as a father when Neetu Kapoor and Archana Singh inquired about the same. She said, “He is the best dad. He is very hands-on.” However, Kapil replied to this by saying, “Main toh beti ko sambhala tha yeh toh dusra baccha paida karne mein lag gayi.” Ginni further quipped that her baby girl, Anayra was just five months old when she conceived their second child. To this, Kapil shyly said:
“Us waqt COVID chal raha tha.”
In the same episode, Kapil’s mother said that her son is still the same, and nothing has changed in him yet. He was mischievous back then and he continues to be one to this date.
