Diwali, the festival of light and love, is celebrated with much fervour and enthusiasm in India and worldwide. People around the globe took part in the Diwali festivities on November 12, 2023, and celebrated it in their own unique way. While all of India was lit up with diyas, candles, and lamps to mark the occasion, a few Indian-origin international celebrities, too, made sure to show the world their way of commemorating the 2023 Diwali.
One of the highly talked about parties was thrown by none other than the Canadian YouTuber and comedian, Lilly Singh, who has a massive following of 14.5 million on the social media platform. The Canadian TV host-comedian arranged a party in Los Angeles, California, and it’s safe to say that Lilly surely knows how to get the party going. She invited some of the well-known names from Tinsel Town. A few noteworthy ones are Poorna Jagannathan, Tan France, Jay Shetty, Tesher, Richa Moorjani, Guru Randhawa, and Jay Sean, among others.

Lilly Singh took to her official Instagram account on November 13, 2023, to share a few drop-dead gorgeous photos from her Diwali bash. The 35-year-old had donned a custom-made light peach-hued outfit consisting of a bejewelled blazer, dhoti pants, and a cape by Falguni Shane Peacock. She was all decked up in stunning pearl and diamond pieces of jewellery. She captioned her post as:
“Happy Diwali. I feel extremely grateful that yesterday, I got to gather my beautiful community and share some much-needed love and light. From my family to yours, may God bless you and may the universe give you abundance.”
Lilly Singh named her party ‘Love & Light’ and seemed to have a floral-themed Diwali. The celebrities in attendance also took to their respective social media accounts to share a few memorable glimpses from the night. Poorna Jagannathan, the American actress popular for her role in the series, Never Have I Ever, too, attended Lilly’s Diwali party. She captioned her IG post as:
“Happy Diwali, everyone! My greatest hope right now is that we’re able to see each other's divine light much clearer. Thank you, @lilly, for being the essence of Diwali- pure light and love. That was some party.”

Tanveer Wasim ‘Tan’ France, a British-American fashion designer and television personality, also attended the Diwali party. He was seen wearing a ravishing beige-coloured sherwani featuring some traditional motifs. He penned down a lovely post for Lilly Singh’s Diwali party:
“Love and Light. Happy Diwali to everyone who celebrates.
Thanks for a wonderful night, @lilly”
All the Lilly Singh’s Love & Light Diwali bash guests donned awe-inspiring traditional clothes to celebrate the festival. The videos from the party showed people dancing to the beats of Guru Randhawa’s song, Suit Suit, which the singer was singing accompanied by musician, Arjun. Everyone seemed engrossed in the festivities and was in high spirits while having a gala at the party.
