Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actress, Vaibhavi Upadhyaya left the mortal planes after a road accident on May 23, 2023. However, her untimely demise at the mere age of 32 has shocked the entire entertainment industry. For the unversed, she was part of the shows, including CID, Adaalat, and others. Moreover, she was seen in the film, Chhapaak, co-starring Deepika Padukone. Thus, as soon as the news of Vaibhavi’s death flashed in the headlines, her co-stars started pouring their condolences on social media and stood beside her family in their crisis. Now, SP Kullu Sakshi Verma revealed latest deets about Vaibhavi’s death accident.
In a short interview with the news agency, PTI, SP Kullu Sakshi Verma opened up about Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's road accident. SP Kullu mentioned how the actress died in a fatal car accident while travelling in a car in Himachal Pradesh with her fiancé. The actress had also tried to escape from the window, but it became fatal when she sustained a head injury. Soon, she was rushed to the Banjar Civil Hospital, in Himachal Pradesh but was declared dead. In SP Kullu's words:
"Vaibhavi tried to get out of the vehicle through the window and sustained a head injury which proved fatal. She was rushed to Banjar Civil Hospital where the doctors declared her dead."

The police also stated that Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's accident was 'a case of rash and negligent driving endangering life has been registered and investigations are underway'. Explaining more about it, SP Kullu revealed that Vaibhavi’s car fell in a gorge near Sidhwan in the Banjar area of Kullu when her driver was trying to manage a steep cut. SP Kullu added:
"Upadhyaya died on Monday after her SUV fell into a gorge near Sidhwan in the Banjar area of Kullu. The accident occurred when the driver of the car was negotiating a steep curve."

Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai producer, JD Majethia, was the first to update about the actress's untimely demise. Taking to his Twitter handle, he tweeted how life is unpredictable and mourned the loss of the actress and his dear friend, Vaibhavi Upadhyay. Afterwards, in an interview with ETimes TV, JD Majethia shared how Vaibhabi left for the heavenly abode in just a flash of seconds. However, her fiance could escape death. In his words:
"Fortunately, the fiance escaped with only minor injuries to his hands. But Vaibhavi was gone in a flash. Vaibhavi, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained head injuries and went into cardiac arrest."
Vaibhavi's mortal remains were handed over to her brother, Ankit after the postmortem, and her last rites were performed on May 24, 2023. In a video of the same, Vaibhavi's parents were seen completely heartbroken and looked inconsolable after the last rites. But, on the other hand, her mother was not in her senses after bidding goodbye to her young daughter for whose wedding she had been preparing for so many months. The heart-wrenching video was extremely painful for her massive fanbase.
