Indian actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya are going through a tough time as they had announced their separation. For quite some time, rumours of trouble in the marriage have been doing the rounds. However, neither Samantha nor Chaitanya addressed it. But after, the once-madly-in-love couple had shared their divorce news, the internet had gone berserk, and everyone's heart was broken.
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya had first met on the sets of their hit film, Yeh Maaya Chesave. However, they didn't fall in love at that time. Instead, their dating speculations started in the year 2015 when they were often spotted together. Their fans keep on sharing adorable pictures of them with the hashtag 'ChaySam'.

Ever since Samantha and Chaitanya had announced their divorce, there have been speculations and rumours doing the rounds. While some claim that Samantha is in a relationship with someone else, others think she doesn't want to have babies. Finally, Samantha took to her Instagram handle and hit back at trollers. Samantha bared her heart out in an emotional note, which can be read as "Your emotional investment in a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread. They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist, and that I have had abortions. A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally is relentless. But I promise you this I will never allow this or anything else they say. Break me."
On October 2, 2021, Samantha and Chaitanya had announced their divorce. Their statement could be read as "To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship, which we believe will always hold a special bond between us."
Samantha and Naga had also requested their fans to give them privacy during these times. Thenote further read, "We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha will be next seen in Gunasekhar film's Shaakuntalam.
