Kushal Tandon and Ridhima Pandit had met on the sets of Alt Balaji's hit web series, Hum. Their off-screen camaraderie had started the speculations of the two dating each other. While Ridhima and Kushal had never admitted the reports of their dating, when in 2019, the two had reportedly unfollowed each other on social media, it had added fuel to the rumours. Now, following the path of her rumoured beau, Kushal, Ridhima also took part in Bigg Boss OTT and shared if they had ever dated.
When Kushal Tandon had turned 34, Ridhima Pandit’s birthday wish for him had added fuel to their dating reports. She had written, "Some people walk into our lives and turn it upside down... here’s one man who has done that to me but for the good. You are one person who I know only believes in doing good to others, have a heart larger than anyone I know.. honesty being your best quality (even though it kinda backfires in most ways) you truly define the saying “A friend in need is a friend indeed.””

In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Ridhima Pandit talked about her relationship with Kushal Tandon. When asked about the first word that comes to her mind when she thinks of Kushal, Ridhima said, “Dear friend”. Talking about if they were ever in a relationship, Ridhima shared, "It's like, you know, I develop a relationship with everyone who I work with. He is one of those few people, we fell-out for a bit, but we are grown, mature adults, so we've sorted it out. He now remains a dear friend."
Coming back to Ridhima’s birthday wish for Kushal, she had added, “You and I remind me of Tom and Jerry (you know why) baaki toh you know na what you mean to me, if not toh I will tell you in the evening when we celebrate “you” ageing like fine wine (in your words). If I say anything more here it will be news tomorrow.. come back soon baba.. celebrations await #brat #baba p.s:- How is it possible to look better than me every picture, just how??"

In 2019, when the reports of Ridhima and Kushal’s breakup had broken out, he had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a lengthy post, clearing the air about his relationship status. He had written, “To whomsoever it may concern, I feel an irresistible urge to point out an important fact that the media and people’s hired PR might be overlooking – An indispensable prerequisite for a breakup is an existing relationship. To the best of my knowledge, I have been single for over a couple of years therefore all the talk that I am hearing lately of me breaking up with whoever.”
He had further penned a speedy recovery to everyone spreading the rumours. He had added, “Even I talk to a wall I am dating that wall too. I am hoping it is the figment of someone’s overactive imagination. I pray for speedy recovery (please get well soon) I am none of my co-stars all of whom I love (not romantically) would stoop so low as to resort to such childish gimmicks for publicity’s sake. In the end I would like to say stop milking my name: I don’t have a PR company so plz take light. I am glad that we have social media to say what we believe in. I don’t have to give a quote to a media forum, and I am glad.”
Ridhima Pandit had risen to fame through the hit TV serial, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant.
