Gone are the days when there was a specific age about a couple entering their next step of parenthood. Not only that now there is no ‘perfect’ age to become a parent, the traditional way of birthing isn’t also not the only option for the couples to embrace parenthood. Being a parent isn’t easy and the decision of embracing parenthood requires a lot of strength. And for singles, taking the big decision of welcoming a child becomes a lot more courage. The Kapoor siblings, Ekta Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor became an inspiration for many, who are skeptical about embracing parenthood. Unmarried Tusshar welcomed his baby boy, Laksshya Kapoor through IVF in 2016 and three years later, his sister, Ekta too, took an inspiration from him and became a single mother to a baby boy, whom she named Ravie Kapoor. Since then, heaps of khushiyan have been pouring in for the Kapoor family and they are making the most of their ‘cloud nine’ phase with two munchkins, Laksshya and Ravie.
A few days back, Ekta Kapoor had taken her almost one-year-old son, Ravie Kapoor on his first foreign trip and sharing a video of her little one gazing the view of Dubai, Ekta had written, “Pehle time phoren trip!” Looks like Ekta and Ravie are accompanied by her little brother and his big brother, Tusshar Kapoor and Laksshya Kapoor. Giving a glimpse of Ravie’s day out with his mamu, Tusshar, Ekta shared a video of the duo watching a kids’ show. Ekta also posted a picture of Tusshar with both kids, Laksshya and Ravie posing with Bob the Builder.
In an interview with SpotboyE, Tusshar Kapoor had expressed his happiness on his nephew, Ravie Kapoor’s arrival and was quoted as saying, “Ravie is the second child in the family and it’s a joy. Honestly, I haven't got much time to spend with my nephew as I was stuck with my work but tomorrow onward, I can spend time with him and play. Frankly, I just can't wait for that moment.” Tusshar had also revealed that his sister, Ekta Kapoor is devoting a lot of time to her newborn son, “Of course. Ekta is spending a lot of time with her son. It sounds odd for me to call her Ekta's son (laughs). It’s a new thing which I need to get used to. Tusshar Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s star father, Jeetendra is super-cool with the whole institution of marriage. The legendary actor had once stated “Marriage is not a compulsion for you [Tusshar] and Ekta.” Speaking about the same, Tusshar had stated, “Yeah, I think there is no compulsion today. There are a lot of marriages which are successful, then there are marriages that are not successful. Basically, you have to be clear what you want. I was clear that I want a child even if I am married or not so I have one. I still believe in institution of marriage. I might get married. I can't predict when, how? Actually I don't have a deadline now as my life is complete. And I completely believe in 'Never say Never'.”
After 3 months of embracing motherhood, Ekta Kapoor had posted the first-ever glimpse of her ‘whole world in one frame’, which had brother, Tusshar Kapoor’s son, Laksshya Kapoor and her baby, Ravie Kapoor cuddled in his mommy's arms! In the picture, Laksshya could be seen seated in the corner of the sofa, while newbie mommy, Ekta had clicked a selfie, with her little baby in her arms! Sharing the pictures of her ‘sun and moon’, Ekta had written, “My boys! Two sons !!! #mysunandmoon.”
On February 2019, Ekta Kapoor had posted a picture that had a gleeful Laksshya Kapoor, keeping a watch on how his baby brother, Ravie Kapoor is doing, who was sleeping peacefully in his white cot.
