Once in an interview with the GQ magazine, Deepika Padukone had explained how her husband, Ranveer Singh is just perfect. The actress had said "I think you just know when you want to spend the rest of your life with that one person; and he's everything rolled in; one man. He's my best friend, playmate, companion and confidant. I can be silly in front of him, I can be stupid in front of him, I can be sick in front of him, I can be whatever I want to be."
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh wished each other on their second anniversary in the most adorable way possible. Sharing two mesmerising pictures with her better half, Deepika wrote, "Two peas in a pod. Happy 2nd Anniversary @ranveersingh. You complete me." Earlier, in a conversation with Pinkvilla, Deepika had spoken about her life with Ranveer and what is the one advice that her parents and in-laws had given them. The actress had revealed, "It's fun. Marriage is a lot of fun, at least for now. When I say this to his parents or my parents, they say, 'Wait for 35 years, you will know'. Maybe we will figure out 35 years later what it will be like then. We don't want to assume that it's going to be a certain way. For now, it's great and fun." It was Ranveer Singh's birthday on July 6, 2020, and his doting wifey had penned the sweetest birthday wish for him. Deepika Padukone had shared a stunning black-and-white picture, wherein the couple could be seen holding champagne glasses and having a gala time. While Deepika had looked gorgeous in an off-shoulder, ruffled sleeved-gown, Ranveer had complemented her perfectly in a black tux. Deepika's birthday wish for the love of her life could be read as "The light of my life. The centre of my universe. I wish you good health and peace of mind in abundance. As for the rest, I'll tell you in person! I Love You! #happybirthday."
Earlier, in an interview with The Times of India, Ranveer Singh had talked about how he had spent the lockdown with his wife, Deepika Padukone. He had shared that life had gotten too busy after their marriage, but this sudden break had helped the couple rediscover each other. The actor had said, "In a way, this lockdown period has been well-timed for me. I get this time to introspect, to focus on myself. As actors you say you are the player and you are the instrument - this body that we have, this mortal vessel that we have - we are the players and this is our instrument. So, to able to focus on myself, to be able to get time with my wife has been really good. After we got married, it was crazy busy for both of us.
