Rani Mukerji is one of the most versatile actresses of her time. In addition, her endearing looks never miss a chance to captivate minds. Now, as the actress turned a year older on March 21, 2024, we stumbled upon a bizarre incident from her birth.
In a candid conversation with Simi Garewal on her renowned talk show, Rendevouz with Simi Garewal, Rani Mukerji revealed that right after her birth, she was exchanged in the hospital. The actress also mentioned that it was only after her mother, Krishna Mukherjee's vigilant discovery that she could possibly return to her birth parents. Elaborating on the incident, Rani revealed that soon after the birth of the actress, she was taken for a dress change, reportedly by the nurses present over there.

However, the kid that was returned by the nurse to Krishna wasn't Rani, and this made the doting mother extremely anxious. Rani then revealed what Krishna had remarked soon after looking at the infant which was born to her. Krishna had stated, "Oh my god! This is not my baby. My daughter has brown eyes. Go and search for my child." Then, with a remarkable twist of fate, Krishna found her daughter was inadvertently switched with another newborn belonging to a Punjabi family.
Rani's mother could successfully find her newborn baby at that time only when she did a thorough investigation of the entire hospital. According to the actress, Krishna had knocked on each room of the hospital until her daughter was finally found and eventually uncovered the mix-up. Indeed, it was a surreal moment of recognition that reunited Rani with her mother. Due to the unforgettable incident, there is also a lasting influence of the Punjabi culture within her family.

Fast forward to now, Rani is happily married to YRF's owner, Aditya Chopra, and together they are blessed with a beautiful daughter, Adira.
