Kareena Kapoor Khan's elder son, Taimur Ali Khan, loves Taekwondo, and from a young age, he has participated in several competitions. Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan and her fellow actor, Rani Mukerji, appeared at a Kids' Taekwondo championship at Kiran's Taekwondo Academy, and their pictures have gone viral on the internet. However, Taimur Ali Khan made his mommy proud by winning a gold medal.
More than winning any Filmfare award, it seems like Kareena Kapoor Khan felt immense joy seeing her son, Taimur Ali Khan, wearing his gold medal in the Taekwondo competition. Kareena could not contain her joy as she posed with little Taimur, who flaunted his gold medal. In another picture, we could see Rani Mukerji conversing with Karan Johar's son, Yash Johar, who also won a medal.

Last year, Taimur Ali Khan won his yellow belt in Taekwondo. Kareena had taken to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of her son, Taimur, on her IG stories. Taimur was seen striking a Taekwondo pose with his friends in the photo. The little one looked handsome in a white dress with a yellow belt. Atop it, Kareena had written:
"Go, go, go!"
In an interview with The Indian Express, Kareena Kapoor Khan addressed her firstborn, Taimur's name controversy. People on social media have trolled the then-newborn baby and his parents, Kareena and Saif, for naming him 'Taimur'. When Kareena got to know about it, she was howling in the hospital room because of how her son was being attacked.
Recalling the time, Kareena shared that no mother or child should go through it. She added that she doesn't know why they were attacked as they never wanted to offend anyone. Kareena further shared that her son's name means 'iron man', and she liked the sound of it. Kareena shared that Taimur was her husband, Saif's first friend and that's how they came up with them. She said:
"When we came up with the name… Saif actually said… He grew up with a neighbour friend, and he always really liked his name and his name was Taimur, so he said, ‘You know, if I have a son, he was my first friend. I’d like to name him Taimur’, and that’s exactly how Taimur was named, because he was Saif’s first friend when he was living in town here."
Kareena clarified that the name was not in reference to any historical image. She added that she was left shocked when it was blown out of proportion. She was quoted as saying:
"It has no sort of take or resemblance to anything or anyone. It just went like… it’s not even like.. it’s not even the same name. I got into a bit of a shock when this happened. But luckily, I think because of us being strong and resilient and silent, I think it just kind of died down. He was the most photographed child for what reason I have no idea."
