Newly Wed Ali Fazal Says He Saw Many Failed Marriages In Life, Talks About Bond With Richa Chadha

Bollywood’s most stunning couple, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha, celebrated their wedding festivities in October’s first week. And netizens across the nation are delighted to get the glimpses of Bollywood’s ‘Guddu Bhaiya’ and ‘Bholi Punjaban’ as husband and wife. Though the lovebirds wanted to throw an official wedding bash two years earlier, their plans were ruined because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ali and Richa’s dreamy wedding festivities had kick-started with shagun ki mehendi on October 1, 2022. While scrolling through our IG feed, we got our hands on the fairytale-like wedding pictures of the duo, in which Ali had donned an ivory-hued angrakha kurta with matching pants and doshala from the couture line of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. On the other hand, Richa turned heads in a 3-D petal-shaped off-shoulder choli with a floral lehenga, which she had picked from the shelves of designer, Rahul Mishra.

In a recent interview with GQ, Ali Fazal opened up about his thoughts on marriages and weddings. When the host asked him about the biggest myth about shaadi that he would like to disapprove of, the actor quipped that he has seen very few marriages work in his life. Ali added how his wife, Richa, has made him a spiritual and centred person. In his words:

"I’ve seen very few marriages work in my life, so I’d like to disprove that. But aside from that, there’s something spiritual I share with Richa. And I thank her for that because she’s made me more spiritually aware than I was before. I was all over the place; happy, but not centred, and I think that’s the whole idea; to find that and flow with it.”

In the same conversation, Ali Fazal said that as human beings, we all are flawed, and no one is perfect. However, his bond with Richa has flourished with ease in the past few years, and it's the best thing that had happened to him. Ali can be quoted as saying:

"We’re all flawed as human beings by nature, and nothing can be perfect. But you can try and revel in that flow, and hopefully flourish in it. All I know is that I will know this person for the rest of my days. I don’t know in what form, but I always know her; and that’s the best thing I could’ve asked for.”

After seven years of dating, Ali Fazal had proposed to his ladylove, Richa Chadha, in 2019. And the duo had got their marriage registered in 2020 in a hush-hush ceremony. As they could not throw lavish parties due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it was recently in the first week of October 2022 when Ali and Richa hosted grand parties at Delhi’s 110-year-old iconic venue. Their spokesperson issued a statement and had said:

"This is to clarify that Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have been legally married for 2.5 years when they registered their wedding. Currently, they are celebrating their union with friends and family.”
