Blogger and actress, Kaitlynn Carter has been quite a controversial figure in terms of her relationships and sexuality. The Hills actress is infamous for dating Miley Cyrus for two months and has subsequently been in the news for her short-lived marriage with co-actor, Brody Jenner. Kaitlynn Carter recently got engaged to her boyfriend, Kristopher Brock, after three years of dating. The couple is proud parents of two, a boy and a girl. The proposal was long overdue, and as soon as Kaitlynn dropped the proposal video on her Instagram handle, fans started congratulating her. One such ‘Huge congratulation’ that caught our attention was from Kaitlynn’s ex-husband, Brody Jenner’s mother, Linda Thompson.
Linda Thompson is the ex-flame of legendary singer, Elvis Presley. Kaitlynn was married to Brody Jenner for a brief period of over a year in 2018-19. The couple soon parted ways, however, Kaitlynn maintained a good relationship with her ex-mother-in-law, Linda Thompson. Just after Kaitlynn split from her ex-husband, Brody Jenner, she hopped into the dating wagon with popular singer, Miley Cyrus. However, their romance was short-lived, and Kaitlynn soon moved ahead with her now fiance, Kristopher Brock and even has two kids with him. Famous singer, Miley Cyrus dated Kaitlynn Carter for around two months. Though their romance was short-lived, it did garner much attention. The two were regularly photographed in and around the city looking all loved up. If reports from Elle are trusted that Kaitlynn allegedly moved in with Miley for a week until their chemistry allegedly fizzled down. The duo was even caught by the paparazzi getting cosy and raunchy with each other in public places. The two were the talk of the town during their short-lived summer fling. The reason for their split, as reported by a source, was that the two were moving very fast, and Miley did not want feelings involved in their relationship. The source further added:
"It was getting serious and Miley wasn't comfortable with that. When they first got together, it was just a fun casual thing, but it ended up becoming a lot and there were big emotions attached. It went from 0 to 60 and she wanted to put on the brakes. It was unexpected to end things so abruptly, but it had to be done. She just got out of her marriage and Miley felt like she and Kaitlynn got carried away."
Kaitlynn’s summer fling with Miley Cyrus wasn’t the only questionable relationship of her life. The Hills stars, Kaitlynn Carter and Brody Jenner were tied in a very dubious marriage for over a year. The couple met at the sets of their show Hills, and allegedly Brody had an affair with every female of the cast, and Kaitlynn was no different. However, the duo took their affair a step further and got married. The questionable factor of their marriage was that it wasn’t legally registered, and was more of a social commitment. The couple broke their brief marriage in over a year, stating it was an amicable decision. However, Kaitlynn later revealed that her divorce from Brody was due to his reluctance to legalise their wedding.

After all the drama that Kaitlynn had with Brody Jenner and Miley Cyrus got over, the socialite met Kristopher Brock. Kaitlynn and Kristopher have preferred to keep their relationship under wraps for a long time and only publicly announced their togetherness after the birth of their first child in September 2021. The couple later had another child, a baby girl, in February 2023. The couple first met in May 2020 when a common friend introduced the two over a text. Soon the two started chatting frequently, and Kaitlynn approached Kristopher for a date. In the Hillscast podcast, Kaitlynn once said that Kristopher was the first adult she ever dated, and he shared the same goals as her. She further added:
"It’s the most seamless, chill relationship. I’ve never had a relationship that was just easy. I feel like he’s the first adult that I’ve ever dated. For me, when I began dating again, I knew it was really important to me to find somebody that had the same goals and wanted the same things in life that I did. We got to the conversation about having kids and where we stood about all of that really quickly."
In an Instagram video posted by Kaitlynn on August 9, 2023, one can see that her boyfriend, Kristopher Brock proposed to her on the roadsides of a country road. In the video, Kristopher pranked Kaitlynn that their car broke down in the middle of the road, and as soon as the blogger stepped out of the car, Kristopher went down on his knees. Kaitlynn captioned the video ‘He got me good’, with a diamond ring emoticon. The video went viral quickly, and fans started pouring in wishes for the couple. However, what garnered the most attention was the comment of Linda Thompson, who wrote:
"Huge, congratulations! So happy for both of you and those beautiful babies! Gorgeous family of five!!"

This is not the first time that Kaitlynn’s relationship with Linda has garnered much attention. Kaitlynn and Linda have maintained a strong bond even after the former divorced Linda’s son. Linda even defended Kaitlynn when her pictures of kissing Miley Cyrus went viral. Linda took to her Instagram and put up a post that no one has the right to judge anyone over who they are in love with. Linda was even invited to Kaitlynn’s first child’s baby shower. It’s not usual to see an ex-daughter-in-law inviting her ex-mother-in-law to her baby shower, but the two set new examples every day. Linda, on one of her Instagram posts put up a picture with Kaitlynn and added:
“You know I love you. I always have & always will.”
