On December 19, 2020, Mahhi Vij took to her IG handle and posted some cute pictures of her kids, Khushi and Tara playing with mud on the beach and penned a long letter on how mud play benefits kids in a healthy way and that it helps kids build a connection to mother earth. Mahhi posted pictures of their gala time in Goa, wherein little Tara shined in Superman t-shirt. Check out the pictures and Mahhi's meaningful letter below!
Emphasising on the importance of mud play for little children, Mahhi started off her letter as "Not only does playing in the mud stimulate our immune system, but it also provides us with valuable minerals, and improves our health as well as actually makes us happier. Mud is a sensory-rich experience that promotes a higher level of brain functioning such as problem-solving, flexibility of thinking, abstract thinking, concept formation and complex perception. Mud stimulates the blood flow to the brain and help us think better.. do u notice how kids run their fingers through mud or grab a handful and let it slowly ooze between their fingers?"
Mahhi further wrote about how in those moments, kids build important nerve connections and continued, "It might not seem like much, but in those moments kids build important nerve connections in brain pathways. Children are instinctively drawn to activities that engage all their senses because that's how they retain n learn best. One of our primary reasons for going to Goa was to give our kids the space to run on beaches to get their hands dirty in the mud and have the fluidity they wish for because it's only with complete freedom that they can grow, nurture and nourish! #mudplay." On December 2, 2020, Mahhi had taken to her IG handle and had shared an adorable picture with Tara. In the picture, Tara was seen sleeping peacefully atop her mother. Along with the picture, Mahhi had penned a note about motherhood and what it has taught her. Her note could be read as “Today I am a fearless mumma. Motherhood has made me discover my life’s passion and purpose #superpower #motherhood #love #daughter #unconditionallove.”
When Tara had turned one, the doting mommy, Mahhi Vij had penned a heart-melting note for her baby girl. Sharing an adorable video from the moments of Tara’s birth, Mahhi had reminisced the day her daughter, Tara was born, fighting all the odds. Her note could be read as “My warrior TARA. We turn a year old today and looking back at the pre and post-delivery experience, I can say that it was nothing short of a beautiful roller coaster ride! I still remember playing 'Ludo' the day my water broke, which was also on a very rainy day! We somehow rushed and made it to the hospital by 9:30pm, and through all the chaos, the only thing on my mind was whether it was a girl or a boy!
