Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor once dated Bollywood actress, Katrina Kaif for the longest amount of time but parted ways for reasons best known to them. However, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt's equation with one another has always made their millions of fans curious. Now, a Reddit user shared a picture of Katrina closely hugging Alia and claimed that it was clicked right before the latter started dating Ranbir.

Soon after the photo was posted on the discussion platform, another netizen mentioned that it was from Katrina's close-knit Christmas dinner then. Many other netizens started reacting to the same. While some talked about the fake relationships in the industry, some even mentioned how the divas maintained cordial relationships with one another despite their personal affairs. One netizen also mentioned that Ranbir never cheated Katrina with Alia, thus, the divas' friendship wasn't that surprising for them.

Although multiple reports claimed that at a party hosted by filmmaker, Imtiaz Ali, Ranbir’s closeness with Alia led to cracks in his then-ongoing relationship with Katrina, none of them ever accepted the same. Much later, in a press conference, Alia reacted to the rumours, claiming her to be the reason behind Ranbir and Katrina’s breakup. Alia was heard denying all such claims and straightforwardly mentioned:
“I read that I was the cause of the Ranbir-Katrina breakup. It was so ridiculous that I didn’t think it needed a clarification.”

Earlier, in a conversation with Neha Dhupia on her show, No Filter Neha, Katrina Kaif was asked whether she held any grudges against her ex-boyfriend, Ranbir and his then-girlfriend-now-wife, Alia. To this, the actress mentioned how she tries to make a good rapport with them. Moreover, Katrina added that she always felt at peace and held no grudges about anyone. Katrina stated:
“I'm taking this a compliment. But yes, if someone likes you, who knows me well, feels nice about my conduct, it's a good thing. I'm not trying to be saintly but it's always easier to just make peace, be friends, to be loving. I'm not doing this to make your life easier. But I'm doing it to make my life is easier. It genuinely is more peaceful and you feel lighter and happier when you don't hold on to any anger or grudges."
