Indian director and producer, Karan Johar is one of the prominent names in the film industry. The 51-year-old has garnered limelight repeatedly, either for his controversial show, Koffee With Karan or his blunt and bold statements. The filmmaker, who has been accused of being the ‘flag bearer of nepotism’ by Kangana Ranaut, kept his mum for the longest time. But not anymore! Nowadays, Karan uses his social media accounts, especially Instagram, to express his unfiltered thoughts to people.
On April 1, 2024, Karan took to his Instagram stories and shared his thoughts on people undergoing surgery to enhance exterior beauty. He mentioned in his post that fillers, botox, and surgery might change the exteriors of a person, but what remains within a person, or rather the nature of a person never changes. Expressing his thoughts, Karan wrote:
“Fillers laga lo fulfilment nahin milti... makeup laga lo umar nai ghat thi... karlo jitna bhi botox, lagoge jaise madhumakkhi ne kaat liya... Going under the knife se exterior badal bhi jaaye... Lekin meri jaan... Fitrat nahi badalti... (sic)”

Just a few days ago, Karan penned another cryptic yet hilarious post about his single status and monogamy. In the post, he talked about how his life has been going on without a partner. KJo said that it’s time that he celebrates his single status and go on another date rather than celebrating an anniversary. His shayari can be read as:
“Ek saathi ke bina hojaye guzara, AC ka temperature nahi badlegi hamara. Nahi milegi mohobbat, na sahi. Separate bathroom ka compromise hoga hi nahi. Monogamy ka demand ghanta hoga poora. Zindagi aur options Kahan milte hain dobaara. Ab toh single status ko karlo celebrate. Anniversary se better hai 'another date'."
Apart from posting his thoughts on his social media accounts, Karan Johar also has his hands full due to his professional life. The filmmaker recently produced the Sara Ali Khan-starrer Ae Watan Mere Watan and Siddharth Malhotra’s Yodha. Unfortunately, the film did not do well at the box office. Karan is also producing Alia Bhatt’s Jigra and Brahmastra’s sequel. He is also backing Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri's film, Bad Newz.

Moreover, as per a recent report by TOI, Karan Johar has announced that Student Of The Year 3 will be turned into a web series, and will be directed by Reema Maya. While talking about the same at the Cinevesture International Film Festival (CIFF) in Chandigarh, Karan said:
“But it will be her way and definitely not mine because if I’ll enter Reema Maya’s world, then I will make it more of an illusion, which is what her name means. I just wanted it to be her voice. She made it her own series.”
