One such lavish wedding ceremony took place in Paris, when Madelaine Brockway and Jacob LaGrone got married in November 2023. For the unversed, Madelaine, an entrepreneur and influencer, is the daughter of a car dealer based in Florida.
The newlywed couple had a five-day wedding celebration in the city of love, which even included renting the Palace of Versailles. Their wedding was called the ‘wedding of the century’ as the duo spent around a whopping USD 59 million, approximately INR 490 crores, for their wedding. Each and every event was so top-notch and opulent that no one could ever think of matching the extravagant celebrations that the couple threw to celebrate their holy union.

However, at present, it seems that Madelaine and Jacob's happiness is short-lived, as the latter is facing criminal charges. As per several media reports, the groom, Jacob, who used to be a talent coordinator, was allegedly accused of open firing at three policemen in Texas in March 2023. According to The Washington Post, Jacob LaGrone has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault on a public servant, which is a first-degree felony in the United States. He could be sentenced to 25 years in prison.
The incident took place when the officers responded to multiple disturbance calls, and he allegedly fired at them. Jacob appeared at a court on November 30, 2023, and was offered a plea deal of 25 years in prison if he pleaded guilty and forgo a trial. However, if he's convicted of the crime, he could face up to life imprisonment, which is 99 years, as per reports. Jacob's now-wife, Madelaine Brockway, did not attend the court hearing. She has even deleted her TikTok and Instagram accounts due to the immense attention Jacob's criminal charges have attracted.

Just a few weeks ago, Madelaine Brockway and Jacob LaGrone’s lavish five-day wedding became the hottest talk of the town. From a rehearsal dinner at the Palais Garnier, an overnight stay at the Palace of Versailles, a private lunch at the Chanel Haute Couture Suite and a performance by the band, Maroon 5, their wedding had it all. The news about their luxurious wedding got immensely viral on social media.
For those who don’t know, Madeline has a family with successful careers in the automotive industry. Her father, Bob Brockway, is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Ussery Automotive Group, while her mother, Paula Brockway, is the Vice President at the Coral Gables branch of Mercedes Benz in Florida. Recently, Ussery Automotive Group made headlines for selling two of its locations and earning a profit of USD 150-700 million in August of this year.
