Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh left the internet berserk after their first joint appearance on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan 8. While the couple tried to show off their 'cool side' and a perfect love story, they made a blunder by confessing about being in an 'open relationship' and where they were 'allowed to see other people'. Amid people calling them 'fake' and trying hard to be the power couple, Deepika opened up about spending time with her husband, Ranveer Singh.
Deepika and Ranveer have super busy schedules owing to their professional commitments. In such a scenario, maintaining a good relationship becomes a task, but Deepika knows the importance of it. The actress talked about the same in an interview with Vogue. She also added how sometimes it becomes tough to spend time together, and they have to 'schedule' it sometimes.

Deepika revealed how they have to find ways to plan their time together. She added that they both try hard to make the effort, which is not one-sided. She was quoted as saying:
"Spending time with my husband is very important to me. You have to make the time… I have to say both he and I make the effort. It cannot be one-sided. We have to schedule it. In our professions, where one of us can be travelling for a month at a time or sometimes he might have a late night and I have an early morning, there are times when we are in the same city but hardly get quality time with each other. It’s not the quantum of time but the quality of that time we have together. We love it when it’s just the two of us but we also love spending time with our families."
Deepika and Ranveer's appearance on the Koffee couch turned out to be a disaster. In fact, things took an ugly turn when Redditors dug out the couple's old interview to prove how they are faking their 'happily ever after'. A Reddit user found out an old video of Deepika Padukone when she appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. In the clip, Ellen showed Deepika her cosy picture with Vin Diesel and asked if any romance was going on. The actress happily revealed that 'there is no fire without smoke'. Further, Deepika added that it was going all in her head. She was quoted as saying:
“But, it’s all in my head! So yeah, I mean in my head I think, like yeah, we are together and we have this amazing chemistry, and we live together and we have these amazing babies! But it’s all in my head."
As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens expressed their opinion. One user had written, "It’s Ranveer. Ranveer is in her head as per her claims while she is exploring. After hearing This Ranveer is going to be heartbroken. Woh bhi uske liye Sirf nahi tha." Another had commented, "DP answer to everything: In my head." One netizen penned, "DP regarding her commitment to RS: "in my head I was committed. DP about her friendship with Anushka: "in my head we're friends". DP about Vin Diesel: In my head we have babies".
However, Deepika's fans also supported and defended the actress. One of them had written, "Not an excuse but i think she is just joking about her, and Vin Diesel and srk also makes these baby jokes , admittedly they are not very funny."
