Indian playback singer, Chinmayi Sripada and her actor-husband, Rahul Ravindran are on cloud nine as they are blessed with two beautiful twins, a girl and a boy. A woman feels complete when she holds her baby in her arms for the first time, and the joy of becoming a mother is surreal. Something similar happened to the new mommy, Chinmayi, when she welcomed her two little munchkins into the world and lovingly named her daughter, Driptah and her son, Shravas. However, a section of society was asking the actress if she had her twin babies through a surrogate as she made an overnight announcement of becoming a parent.
For the unversed, Chinmayi Sripada has made a name for herself in the Indian film industry with some of her chartbuster songs, including Titli from Chennai Express, Main Rang Sharbaton Ka from Phata Poster Nikla Hero, Mast Magan from 2 States, Enthaaraa Enthaaraa and the list goes on. Not only this! The gorgeousness is also a TV host, radio jockey, a versatile dancer and a talented voice-over artist. She had tied the knot on May 5, 2014, with the man of her dreams, Rahul Ravindran, in a traditional wedding ceremony.

On June 21, 2022, Chinmayi Sripada took to her social media handle and announced the good news of embracing motherhood with lakhs of her fans. The newbie mom dropped two adorable glimpses of her twins, Driptah and Shravas, which are too cute to miss. In the first picture, we can see the little munchkin lovingly holding the fingers of their doting mommy, Chinmayi. The following picture showed us the little one’s teeny tiny hand placed on the giant hand of their father. Alongside the priceless pictures, Chinmayi penned:
“Driptah and Sharvas The new and forever center of our Universe. @rahulr_23.”
After a few hours of announcing the birth of her twins, Chinmayi received a bunch of messages from fans asking if she had her babies through a surrogate mother. Giving a befiting reply, the ace singer took to her IG feed on June 21, 2022, and posted a written announcement to rubbish all the rumours. Chinmayi clearly stated that she is a private person and likes to keep her life under the wraps. An excerpt from her long note can be read as:
“I’m absolutely loving these people who are dm-ing me asking if I had twins through a surrogate just because I didn’t post photos of me being pregnant. Only those who were my innermost circle knew because I was protecting myself.”

Further, in the note, the new mommy mentioned that she would remain extremely guarded about her kids' privacy and would not post their pictures on social media anytime soon. Chinmayi also added that she had chanted bhajan during her caesarean. In her words:
“I was and will always be extremely guarded about by personal life, my family, my friends circle. Photos of our kids won’t be on our socials either for a long while. And if you need to know I actually *sang* a bhajan during the caesarean as our twins entered the world. Get a grip of that more on this later. But for now this is enough.”
