Charu Asopa is one of the much-loved actresses in Bollywood. The diva never shies away from melting the hearts of her fans courtesy of her acting prowess. Charu became a household name for her role in the television series, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. Apart from her professional life, Charu often hits the headlines with her personal life. For the unversed, Charu was earlier married to Rajeev Sen, from whom she got divorced back on June 8, 2023. Together, the duo co-parent their daughter, Ziana. Time and again, Charu has opened up about the struggles of being a single mom. And yet the same happened again, as she dropped a vlog featuring a heartbreaking incident.
Taking to her vlogs, Charu Asopa dropped a video on November 20, 2023. In the video, Charu can be seen out for house hunting. The diva said that she is shifting her home as her current flat is away from her work. Charu can be seen paying a visit to a building near her workplace. She also said that she has decided to shift her home so that she can visit to her daughter whenever he gets free time from shooting. However, in the last portion of the video, Charu was seen teary-eyed as she was refused to rent a house because of the reason of being a single parent.

In the video, Charu Asopa shared how the whole incident was sad and heartbreaking. The diva also shared a clip on her IG handle and penned a long note with it. Charu further questioned the term 'women empowerment'. An excerpt from Charu's note can be read as:
"No matter what a woman does in our society, how much ever she does, she can never change the thinking of people. Even today, before giving a woman a home, a man's name is attached to her or not, and if not, she is not given to her home. It feels sad to see the condition of the woman of our country. And these people who refuse to give home go out and give big speeches in the name of women empowerment."

In an interview with ETimes, Charu Asopa opened up about the struggles of being a single mother. The diva added that it was really hard and exhausting for her to find a home. Citing an example of the difficulties she faced, Charu revealed that there were days when everything got finalised, but something would happen, and she would not get the house. Sharing the reason behind the same, Charu mentioned that she is a single mother and, more than that, an actress, and because of this, people do not offer their house easily.

It was back on June 8, 2023, when Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen were granted divorce. Taking to his IG handle, Rajeev dropped a mushy photo with his ex-wife and penned a long note to announce their separation from Charu. However, post that the duo was spotted together on several occasions, including Father's Day. However, it was only a few days ago when Rajeev and Charu hosted a birthday party for their little munchkin. In a nutshell, even after getting divorced, Charu and Rajeev have been keeping their bond cordial and acing in co-parenting their daughter, which is praiseworthy.
