Bipasha Basu is currently spending a much-awaited vacation in the Maldives with her husband, Karan Singh Grover, and their daughter, Devi. The family of three went there to celebrate her birthday. However, at the same time, the controversy regarding Maldives-Lakshadweep island got spread like a forest fire. It all began when Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a couple of pictures from the Lakshadweep Islands, and a few ministers from Maldives made a derogatory remark about him. Soon, to support Narendra Modi's action to promote Indian islands and tourism, many eminent celebrities took to their social media profiles and continued the hashtag 'boycott Maldives' trend. Soon, the Maldivian ministers were reportedly suspended by the Maldivian Government.
Amid such controversy, Bipasha Basu can be seen dropping stunning pictures and videos from her Maldives vacation, which invited unnecessary negative criticism from the netizens. Taking to her IG handle, Bipasha recently posted a drool-worthy video of herself featuring a montage of her pictures clicked at a Maldives beach. She looked breathtaking in a red-hued monokini paired with a blue and white-striped shrug and a pair of sun shields. She kept her makeup minimal and opted for an open hairdo while happily posing for the lens.

As Bipasha posted her enchanting photos, her darling husband, Karan quickly dropped a comment, which read, "Ufffffffff." However, netizens soon started reacting to Bipasha's video and posted derogatory comments on her post as she was spotted in Maldives amid the controversy. While one netizen wrote, "Maldives govt insulted us and u are roaming in Maldives. Deshdrohi nikle aap toh", another one mentioned, "Boycott Maldives pl."

Earlier, on January 7, 2024, Bipasha posted a series of pictures from her birthday celebration in Maldives along with her husband, Karan. In the photos, the duo was seen lost in each other's embrace while being captured. For the birthday date, Bipasha stunned in a white-hued, tied-up dress featuring blue-coloured prints all over it. She completed her look with dewy makeup, red lipstick, gold dainty earrings and a wet hairstyle. On the other hand, Karan looked handsome in an all-black outfit. She also gave a glimpse into her intimate birthday decoration on the beach, which looked surreal. Sharing the pictures, she wrote:

Earlier, Bipasha Basu posted a dreamy picture from the Maldives, where she was seen enjoying her time in the sea with her darling husband, Karan and their daughter Devi.
