The real-life princess of the Marathi royal family of Sangli in Maharashtra, Bhagyashree became an overnight sensation with her character 'Suman' in the Salman Khan starrer film, Maine Pyar Kiya. Since then, she has etched a beautiful place in millions of hearts. Moreover, she enjoys a huge fan following of about 2.1 million followers on her Instagram. Every now and then, she keeps teasing her fans with stunning glimpses of her life and work.
Now, Bhagyashree has recreated one of the iconic looks of the legendary actress, Rekha and shared stunning glimpses from the same. The Maine Pyar Kiya actress donned a cream-hued anarkali, which featured full sleeves, unique detailing at the front portion and a golden-hued belt fastening near the waist portion. She styled her look with matching-hued churidar pants and a dupatta attached with golden frills at the border.
Glam makeup, including bold kohl-rimmed eyes with smokey eyeshadow, defined brows, highlighted cheeks and brown lipstick, completed Bhagyashree's look. She kept her hair tied in a neat bun and accentuated her look with multi-coloured stone-embellished jewellery, including two necklaces, one featuring green stones with a big pendant and another one with brown stones, matching dainty earrings, a sleek maang teeka, bangles and rings.
Bhagyashree's look was inspired by Rekha's photoshoot with Vogue Arabia. For one of the looks from the photoshoot, Rekha stunned in a muslin angarkha anarkali from the shelves of ace designer, Manish Malhotra. She teamed her look with matching-hued churidar pants and a dupatta. Moreover, she opted for uncut jewellery that featured a layered necklace, a choker, a unique headgear, earrings, and haathphools. Glam makeup with blushed cheeks, glittery eyes and glossy lipstick added stars to her look.
Bhagyashree also shared a collage of her and Rekha's looks and penned a heartfelt note for the latter. She called Rekha a 'versatile' actress and mentioned how she always wanted to recreate the look, ever since she saw the Umrao Jaan actress' photo. Sharing the collage, Bhagyashree wrote:
"Bas ek baar mera kahha ... maan lijiye. Nothing can beat the ever so versatile Rekhaji. Some months ago I chanced upon a picture of hers in Vogue.. and I couldn't get it off my mind. I know its nothing close to the original but I just had to give it a try."
