Ayesha Khan rose to popularity after her stint in the 17th season of the popular reality TV show, Bigg Boss. During the show, the actress revealed that the comedian, Munawar Faruqui, had promised to marry her, and further confronted him for cheating on her. After the show ended, Ayesha Khan paired up with her co-contestant, Abhishek Kumar, for a music video, and also featured in a song in the Telegu film, Gangs Of Godavari.
Recently, the actress sat for an interaction with Siddharth Aalambayan on Hauterfly’s show, The Male Feminist. During the show, Ayesha divulged details about her professional front and talked about facing the casting couch. The host asked her if she had faced any untoward incident in the industry since she ventured into it very early in her life. Recalling an incident, Ayesha said:
“They got me few options of clothes to wear and I was very excited. They got a netted black top, which I had to wear and click pictures. I thought ok I will wear an inner and do this. Then the man was like, ‘No we wanted this to be seductive, sensual so don’t wear anything under.’ The top had nets so I obviously asked how, and why and they were like, ‘No no, the picture frame will be above your chest.’ But I told him that how does it make sense because he would still be sitting in front of me.”

Further, Ayesha shared that she hates it when these people, who have an inappropriate approach, take the names of big celebrities and claim that they have done the same thing in the past. Further talking about how certain people in the industry have ruined the purity of acting as an art form, Ayesha said:
“He told me, ‘Arey nahi aisa he hota hai, sab aise he karte hai.’ What I hate in situations like these is that these men then suddenly drop big names,’ ‘How do you think these people got films and are so successful today?’ This is one thing that they will always tell you ki aise nahi milta hai. Ek chiz jo hamesha khatakti hai wo ye hai ki mere liye acting is something very pure, it's an art form for me, jisse aap express kar sakte ho, itni khoobsurat chiz hai and usme ye jo gandagi logon ne mix kar di hai wo samajh hi nahi aati mujhe.
Ayesha also revealed that these harassment incidents are not just limited to the entertainment industry, but she has faced the same in her daily life as well. The actress opened up about an incident when she was at Juhu Beach in Mumbai. She recalled how a group of men, kept hovering around her, passing indecent remarks about her. Sharing details about the incident, Ayesha further added:
“I was at Juhu beach after a stressed day. Then a man came next to me, then another and later I was surrounded by 3-4 men, and I felt I was unsafe. After a point I felt I should just leave. They also pretend to be on call and talk like, ‘The way she was looking that day, what she was wearing…’ I then confronted him in a loud voice so that people around hear and asked what was he saying, who was he talking about, and the man nonchalantly replied, ‘Am I saying anything to you? I am just talking on call.’ I said yes of course and left from there. My hands were shivering while saying this. A woman knows your intent simply by one touch or even a gaze.

After Mrunal Thakur and Palak Tiwari, Ayesha Khan also spoke about paparazzi taking inappropriate pictures of them. On April 4, 2024, the actress took to her Instagram stories and lashed out at a section of photographers for capturing indecent pictures of actresses even when they asked them not to click. She also mentioned in her note that certain media houses need to learn basic manners.
