Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana fell in love with each other during their stint on the reality show, Bigg Boss 13. While Himanshi is a popular name in the Punjabi film industry, Asim Riaz is a singer, after Bigg Boss they had featured in several hit music videos. However, after four years of togetherness and countless vacations, Asim and Himanshi announced their separation. First, it was Himanshi, who revealed the reason for their breakup. Now, Asim confirmed the same and shared his side of the story.
On December 7, 2023, Asim took to his Instagram handle and shared a note on his IG handle. He shared that they have decided to separate as their religious beliefs differ. Asim added that they are adults and can make their own decisions. He further accepted that he had told Himanshi to reveal the truth behind their separation.

Asim further clarified that they had sacrificed their relationship for their different religious beliefs. Asim also shared that they wanted to end their relationship amicably. He wrote:
"Yes Indeed we both agreed to sacrifice our love for our respective religious beliefs. We both are 30+ and we have full right to take these mature decisions and we made it. We’ve decided to part ways amicably, embracing our individual journeys. Respect for Himanshi and our diverse path and yes indeed i told her to write the real reason for our separation. Request you to all to respect our privacy."
After announcing her separation from Asim, Himanshi leaked her chats with her ex on social media platform, X. In the screenshot of their WhatsApp chat, Himanshi wrote, "You said I did", and Asim replied, "Sahi hai." He further added that she should also write the reason about their breakup. To which, Himanshi replied that she had mentioned it, but deleted it later, thinking he might get trolled.
On December 6, 2023, Himanshi confirmed that she is no longer with Asim. She penned a note and revealed that their journey together ended and their relationship was amazing, but due to their religious differences, they have decided to end it, while they are still in love. She had written:
"YES, we are not together anymore, All the time we have spent together has been great but our togetherness comes to an end Now. The journey of our relationship was great and we are moving forward in our lives. With due respect to our respective religions, we are sacrificing our love for our different religious beliefs. We request you to respect our privacy."
