Once again, as India lost to Australia in the World Cup 2023 final match, Anushka was seen consoling Virat, which won many hearts.
On November 19, 2023, India lost the final match against Australia in the World Cup 2023. It was indeed an emotional moment for every Indian and mainly for the cricketers, who performed their best in the entire tournament. Soon after, a warm picture of Anushka Sharma hugging her cricketer husband, Virat Kohli, went viral on the internet. In the photo, she looked sad while consoling Virat. Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif, who was promoting her upcoming film, Tiger 3, was heard lauding Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli for being each other's support system at one such event. Talking about the duo's love and support for one another, Katrina mentioned the happiness seen on Anushka's face whenever Virat is on the cricket ground. Katrina further called Virat and Inspiration and mentioned that he is dedicated and disciplined about his fitness. In Katrina's words:
“They (Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma) are such wonderful support to each other. You can see whenever Virat is playing, there is joy on her (Anushka's) face. It’s beautiful to see that. But I think Virat is an inspiration to us, he's dedicated, he's disciplined. Look at the fitness level that he has brought in, he has only made himself better. You see the dedication and the discipline that he has brought in.”
India played an inspirational game throughout the tournament. Thus, it was quite unexpected for the cricketers, their wives and the entire nation to witness their defeat at the World Cup 2023 finals. Soon after the same, a few pictures surfaced on the internet, wherein the star wives, including Anushka Sharma and Athiya Shetty looked sad due to the same. At first, a photo of Anushka surfaced on the internet when Virat got out shockingly. Afterwards, we got some more pictures of Anushka and Athiya, who looked completely heartbroken after India lost the match.

However, Anushka's excitement and enthusiasm for Virat was seen during the semi-final match, wherein he could easily broke Sachin Tendulkar's record. Anushka and Virat were seen blowing kisses at each other while the proud wife was jumping in excitement after the glorious moment. For those who don't know, Virat broke Sachin Tendulkar's record by scoring 50 ODI hundreds during the semi-final match at the World Cup 2023 finals.
