Popular actor, Allu Arjun is the son of Indian film producer, distributor, and businessman, Allu Aravind and his wife, Nirmala Allu. Allu Aravind is regarded as one of the most successful producers in the South Indian film industry and owns the production house, Geetha Arts. Walking in his father's footsteps, Allu Arjun has also crafted a niche for himself in the Telegu film industry. Being known as one of the highest-paid actors in India, Allu Arjun is also a recipient of several awards, including a National Film Award, six Filmfare Awards and three Nandi Awards. However, now his daddy, Allu Aravind received a massive backlash from the netizens for his comment on another popular South Indian actor, Yash.
On November 7, 2023, Allu Aravind graced the teaser launch of the upcoming Telegu movie, Kotabommali PS, which is directed by Teja Marni and stars Meka Srikanth, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Rahul Vijay, among others. During the course of the event, Aravind was asked certain questions about the impact of actors' fees on a film's budget. However, while talking about the same, when Allu Arjun's father made an absurd comment about the popular actor, Yash, the latter's fans got upset with it and brutally trolled Aravind.

While speaking at the event, Allu Aravind mentioned that his production house, Geetha Arts is currently focusing on making small films due to a lack of budget. Then, the veteran filmmaker was asked if a film's funding relates to the actors increasing their remuneration after its hits. Aravind was also asked if the film's budget rises due to the actors asking for a high salary, citing an example of his son, Allu Arjun and other eminent names in his family, who charge a high remuneration for any project. To this, Aravind commented by denying that the actor's fees lead to the increased budgets of a film and explained:
"The lead actor of a movie gets only 20 to 25 per cent of the film’s budget as remuneration. So, it is not true that the budget for the film will increase because of his fees alone. On top of actors’ fees, a lot of money is spent to make the movie a big venture.”
However, as Allu Aravind continued explaining the answer, he cited another example of the popular actor, Yash. Aravind mentioned that Yash became popular only after the release of his successful film, KGF and its sequel. Thus, explaining that Yash's fees didn't lead to a high budget, instead, Aravind mentioned how the actor's career got a boost from the ‘richness’ of the production. Allu Aravind commented:
“Who was Yash before the release of the KGF movie? Why did that movie make noise? It was that richness that led to the success of the movie. This is just one example. Whoever the hero of the movie is, it is because of the making that it attracts the audience.”

As soon as the clipping of Allu Aravind's comment on Yash was uploaded on social media, the latter's fans got extremely upset with the former and brutally slammed him. While one user compared his son, Allu Arjun to Yash and wrote, “Even Allu Arjun was a small hero in tier-2 range, who used to compete with Vijay Devarakonda until his big movie Alavaikuntapuram lo”, another fan of the KGF fame mentioned, “KGF is special only because of Yash. It is unimaginable without him. That is his contribution. What's this guy's problem?” Check out the comments:
