Actor, Akhil Mishra, popular for his role as ‘librarian Dubey’ in the film, 3 Idiots passed away in a tragic accident on September 19, 2023. As per multiple reports, the actor was on a stool in the kitchen when he fell down and hurt his head. He was found lying in a pool of blood and was immediately rushed to the hospital. However, despite several efforts, the actor could not survive.
Akhil’s wife, actress, Suzanne Bernert was shooting in Hyderabad when the incident happened. She immediately rushed back to her home and was in a state of shock. The 58-year-old actor’s body has been sent for post-mortem, and his wife, Suzanne is making all the arrangements for his cremation. Talking to ETimes, Suzanne shared:
“My heart is broken, my second half is gone."

Akhil Mishra was a versatile actor and was seen in films like Don, Well Done Abba, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Calcutta Mail and more. Akhil rose to fame after playing the role of ‘Librarian Dubey’ in Amir Khan starrer, 3 Idiots. The actor also has a few television serials to his credit like Uttaran, Udaan, Sea Hawks, Shrimaan Shrimati, Pradhanmantri and a few others.
Talking about Akhil’s personal life, the actor got married to actress, Manju Mishra in 1983. The duo has even acted together in the show, Grihalakshmi Ka Jin. After Manju passed away in 1997, Akhil got married to German actress, Suzanne Bernert in 2009. The duo got married in a traditional manner in 2011. Akhil and Suzanne have worked together in the movie, Kram and in the serial, Mera Dil Deewana. Not just this, the duo also shot a short film titled Majnu Ki Juliet.

Akhil’s wife, Suzanne, on the other hand, has been a part of television shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Savdhaan India, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and a few others.
